Heat for the price. Interestingly my car manual says not to use an ice scraper but to use de-icer spray.
I'd use this on me head after a swim.

Hot water all over it, Boom and your ready to go.
Been using tepid water, 3 litre bottle of it for over 10years everytime I need to de ice. While all the other suckers scrape or spray crap all over their car.

In, engine on, full blast heat, wipers on, 3 litres all over windows, get in car, drive off.

The water does freeze. The trick is to use the hot water but wipe the windscreen clean immediately leaving no residue water on the windscreen.

I was out there at 6.45am with the plastic blade I use for cleaning the car removing snow from it and then OH moaned that it had frozen again when he went out so he had to use de-icer.

Not a thanks for doing it,just pulling his face.I could quite easily kill him at times!

I heard that boiling water is the best, but that cracking sound you hear and see running across the glass is actually the just ice...

I just use a kettle of tepid water as well. It is quick and so much easier and I don't understand why people stand next to their freezing cars with a small ice scraper in their hand - surely it takes so much longer to scrape all of the ice off?
