I don’t really care about the ratings to be honest, if people like it they check it out, if not, it’s no skin off my back. Thought I’d share, could make a nice gift for a strictly fan.

The whole point in the ratings is to allow people to find good deals. If all of your posts are rated terribly, anybody looking later or not looking in the "new" section will not find them. They're not designed as an ego trip, they're functional and because of the way you've chosen to post, you've effectively removed that functionality.

Really? FFS. That's heavy handed - I'm used to getting bans, but I didn't realise that I wasn't the only one.

Mods - do something about this - people do not need, nor want, to see the front page cluttered up with multiple reduced items from the same retailer posted by the same user. It lessens the site "experience".

Yeah, I got a one day ban for saying this when it was a "pepper expert" that did this a few days back.
Looks like the site owners/mods want to encourage the front page being "peppered" with spammy crap...

Really? FFS. That's heavy handed - I'm used to getting bans, but I didn't realise that I wasn't the only one.

Mods - do something about this - people do not need, nor want, to see the front page cluttered up with multiple reduced items from the same retailer posted by the same user. It lessens the site "experience".
I personally see the benefit of one item per deal - the conversation on the thread can be dedicated exclusively to said item, as opposed to 'one thread to rule them all' list deals where people are talking at cross-purposes.

It's only a problem if people have their apps set to go off with a notification every time a new deal is posted, I'm guessing?

Can the site admins look into a system where it's smart enough to let people post separate deals, but the site could detect a retailer having a deal posted about it say three times within a short time period, and it would group them together, with the option to collapse and expand to see all? That way each item can have it's own deal and conversation, and the home page would be tidy.

Just a suggestion, I don't fancy getting a load of abuse just for thinking differently, I see enough of that on Twitter...
