About this deal
This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:
One thing I always forget about when I'm buying stuff is student discount. Sometimes student discount won't be of much value as there are usually better offers elsewhere, or there are other voucher codes floating around which make items cheaper than they would be if you were to use student discount. If you’re smart though, you'd be surprised by how much of your precious money you can actually save by taking advantage of student discounts and doing a little maths before you buy things.
I thought the information within a database that I compiled today would make a great post on here so I’m going to post it. I know many people on here are a huge fan of mega threads (e.g. the booze one) so I thought it would be nice to create a mega thread of student discounts across the UK. I know this post won't benefit everyone, but I'll leave this here for reference and update it throughout the year for the students on here. Some of you may even be able to suggest discounts that I’m unaware of

Without 'students' how would we get our next generation of doctors, nurses, paramedics, nurses, lawyers, teachers, scientists, entrepreneurs, accountants, architects, engineers etc.?
They'll pay their taxes after graduation and they'll be able to pass on their knowledge to the next generation.
Your sincerely,
Dr Karlie88 (previous medical student who studied at University and got loads of student discounts for 5 years).
The military drains the economy, whilst students (eventually) boost the economy. Student discounts are given as incentives to study, as most students have little money. What good is 10% off Pizza Hut in Afghanistan?
Students get degrees and go into higher paying jobs, meaning they end up paying more taxes then they originally would have without education. Supporting people to become educated should be a priority rather then supporting people to fight.
If you go to university you can learn about statistics, research and evidence.

You are chulish and discourteous to someone who has taken a lot of time out to produce this list. If you have nothing good to say, don't say it.
Lol, student discounts aren't given as an incentive to study :-P. Why do businesses care whether people study or not! It's not like all discounts are government subsidised.
Student discounts are given purely because it allows companies to price discriminate and charge people with less money lower prices so they continue to buy their products without having to charge everyone lower prices. It has nothing to do with equity and fairness, it's purely a tool for companies to make more money
Also, for ASOS if you don't have NUS Extra you can use UniDays which is free for 10% discount.
EDIT - UniDays also have the same for other retailers such as USC, Office, Urban Outfitters, Topshop, Topman, Bank, Burton, New Look, Boohoo etc. etc.

Yep, I didn't go to uni and I've stabbed 22 people. It is inevitable that if you don't go to uni you'll definitely end up stabbing someone. Leave it out.
90% of students go to uni for an easy ride and achieve nothing but a piece of paper. The amount of people with degrees who still do the same part time job they did when they were younger is maasive. Although now they do it full time.
I never really understood this concept. Why should troops get discounts over other people? They have a full paying job! Firefighters, nurses etc defend our country with risk to themselves too and surely should deserve the same special treatment.
should have studied harder at school lol, you probably dont even know how to calculate a discount.
Students are not funded by ANY taxes generally - the Uni I work for only gets 10% public funding.
Oh and check out britishforcesdiscounts.co.uk/ for UK Military discounts, both squaddies and Students deserve discounts.
So that means there are always military discounts?
Sometimes I heat because of bad English.
I'm sure that will come in handy when I'm on the checkout while being in loads of debt.
I'm confused...isn't the Military wage paid for by public taxes in the first place...???
Tuition fees are paid by the government and you only have to pay them back when you are earning good money so the increase in fees has not affected students at all.

I hope this will go some way in encouraging teenagers (and grown ups) to be students (and continue to study further) to progress well in their lives - in turn taking them away from the knife and gang culture!

Couldn't agree with this more.
Pathetic
You seem critical of people that work at McDonalds. A job is a job at the end of the day, and good for them. As for the loan, it now has considerable interest on those that can repay the loan - so they recouperate their money anyway (Inflation + 2% I believe). And this is a deal for students, not student bashing.
Heat!!
last time I checked junior doctors were underpaid over working fools , if they had any sense they would have entered the armed forces to gain benifits later and become a burden on society whilst not really contributing. Dont really know how often doctors strike really karlie well done and thank you for looking after us and putting up with abuse
This card is sweet i get 2 big macs and 2 med fries for 4 quid with this bad boy
It pays for itself within a couple of weeks well worth the money!
Heat added.
