**UPDATE** It turns out you get a £10 off voucher (no min spend) which contains a QR code when you spend £50. You will need your student ID for your first purchase (i.e the £50 spend) to get the £10 off voucher. To redeem the £10 voucher you will need to bring the voucher (which contains the QR code) and student ID (just to be safe). Sorry for any confusion - the T&C's were misleading.

I got my entire bedroom suite for less than a third of the price of new and everything was in perfect order. Worth thinking about.
My daughter and I were only talking last night about a trip to Ikea before she returns to uni 😸
How does one get a leaflet with code?
Yes
Not sure if other stores will be added but I think this will be unlikely.
Thank you @reindeer333 , I'll checkout Greenwich store whilst dropping off daughter in Trinity.
I only wanted to get a Symfonisk bookshelf speaker to test as I think it's a bargain buy for £99 (it has play 3 design)

Unless they mean the one on membership cards?
If you are in East London then Lakeside is my normal store.
You have to spend £50 or more to get the voucher and then once you have the £10 voucher there is no minimum spend on your next transaction.
I wish this advice was true as I love buying from Gumtree but I have found that gumtree prices for IKEA is either the same as brand new or more expensive.
For example I got MALM drawers and units on sale at IKEA they periodically do, maybe £5 off each
Same units are on Gumtree for RRP and some even more, and they get taken fast.
It's because a lot of people don't drive or are hours away from an IKEA and delivery prices are sky high on IKEA website
Oh that's a shame. Maybe I've lucky because I'm in london because there's always something that comes up that is dirt cheap.
Plus they don't need to have tools/knowledge/ability to put together. ikea stuff sells well used - I have had some stuff for a few years and sold for near what I paid. We were after some bedside tables from Hemnes range and not willing to pay RRP. took us 3 months to get a set for £10 each instead of £80 each, far from ideal but we saved a load. Got 2 other sets but had small marks on them but were so well priced we basically made about £60 on selling them on. So you can have deals and bargains, find FB marketplace has a lot more on it, but as you say most people are savvy so you rely on seeing the ads quick and collecting immediately.
Have you tried freecycle.org? Everything is free. I've furnished most my house with new or nearly new for free.
Think that's what it could be. More people = more deals.
Have seen some things cheap on facebook etc, but like other comments, it can sometimes be cheaper to buy from Ikea.
Ill be honest, I’m doing that and you can still get away with it. Just set your college or university when asked as one under the eligible ones and use your college email. Then verify with college email, they wont confirm its correct for that university.
Nice £700 dinning table starter I have
Eligible stores are in the OP.
