Great Deal!

Can I just point out one thing?
]>> Anime dvd's @ HMV

There are currently 60 anime DVDs on special at HMV... it's not just limited to Studio Ghibli, though they are the more well-known animes

And no, I wouldn't have noticed if the the OP hadn't posted the link, so heat and rep!

That's good... though I've got most of them now, that's still decent! Can't wait for the new one to come out this year, but nothing will beat Spirited Away for me!

Is this online only or also instore?

Dont forget Quidco at 9%!! Great deal and brilliant spot, thanks

Do you think they'll ever release a box set of these classic films?

I thought they had released a box set? Dont know if it was a UK release but there is definitely one out there.

The prices aren't as great instore, but lots are on special offer. I got howl's moving castle for £5 and kiki's delivery service and nausicaa valley in the wind for £7 each instore at the weekend, as I needed to use a gift card.

Spirited away was £5 instore but I already have it - brilliant price though for such an amazing film!

I agree that Totoro rules :-D

voted hot these films are great for a rainy afternoons or hungover sundays.very different n well maid.good for kids over 8 id say enjoy this great work

princess m is a gooden

Princess Mononoke is a fantastic film as is Howls Moving Castle and Spirited Away, you've missed Castle In The Sky off the list which is one of my favorites.
Totoro and Kiki's delivery service could be classed as leaning towards the younger audience but any of the ones i've listed first can be enjoyed by all and may even have scenes to scary for little kids.

Voted Hot.

Will these play on my player?

My pleasure! :-D

I'm an avid anime fan myself so whenever I see a deal I always scout around the site it's on just to make sure there aren't more lurking around there somewhere!

I have to admit I prefer the cyberpunk and steampunk titles myself, but I've heard nothing but good things about the 'Studio' releases. Anyone noticed that 'Tales of EarthSea' is getting some serious advertising airtime on TV at the moment? I guess that's the next one on the list of ones to watch!

Oh and just to throw my tuppence in, I recently watched Last Exile, and can say it is a thoroughly beautiful animation experience!

Nice! Very Hot Deal this.

Some awesome films there! Especially Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away & Howls Moving Castle.

As Dandoc2 says some are back up to £15.99 - but several are still £4.99 / £5.99 so buy them quick ;-)

You mean you watch the dubbed versions?(shakes head in amazement). TBH I thought the dubs on Spirited Away, Howl and Kiki were pretty good - but I far prefer the original voices and music on the rest, especially Mononoke, Totoro and Whisper of the Heart.

BTW sfx magazine readers voted Totoro the best anime ever last year (I secretly agree) - but I was surprised for a readership I always took to be geeky single blokes.

If you like the more 'childish' Ghibli offerings you've got to see Future Boy Conan - it's totally crazy.:p
