Personally I wish they'd hurry up and get all those backcatalogue titles out "Grave of the Fireflies" was meant to be out already but it's been pushed back... That reminds me, should add the pre-orders for GOTF!
Have some heat. Great work.
Only need a few more for my collection so will take a look at your links.
Thanks
Oh dear... wish I hadn't seen this!!! I want them!!!!

If you're ever interested in upgrading the DVDs you can sometimes sell them for a reasonable price on eBay, at least giving you something to go towards the blu-rays.
I'm in the same position, I have a few titles on DVD but those are the ones that I want to get first on blu-ray! (_;)

Tales FROM Earthsea is brilliant, I really don't understand what makes it awful.

I've yet to see it, and it certainly gets the lowest rating on IMDb of all the Ghibli feature lengths, but I will have to give it a go one day!
Heat for the effort mate
Might very well nab a couple myself
I was about to swear at my PC but realised I got the same price from Zavvi yesterday after a look around.

Also a quick tip for any returning Zavvi customers, keep an eye on your inbox, I received a 10% discount code for any products on the site a few weeks back that I used last night.

Sent my DVD's off to CEX a couple of months ago in the build up to this. They take them for an alright price too. I'm hoping for spirited away and the cat returns most

What he said.
I love Ghibli films!

And if anyone is planning to go to Tokyo soon... don't forget to include the Ghibli Museum in your itinerary. You also have to book tickets in advance before going.... so make sure you don't miss out!
I really wish I had a 10% code right now but I already used one on something else
Great! Now I have to get a Bluray player after xmas too!

Shame Kiki's Delivery Service & Spirited Away aren't on the list.

Would love to go over there and visit the museum, and I'll be honest, I'm a pretty casual fan, still think it would be a great place to visit!

Can you believe I've only recently seen "Spirited Away" after owning the DVD for a couple of years?!
A lot of people think that Ghibli are holding back "Princess Mononoke" and "Spirited Away" on blu-ray for maximum demand!
Which languages are included? (audio & subtitles)
An OP after my own heart - well deserved heat. My present to myself is Totoro BR :-)

Check them individually, but I'm pretty sure that they nearly always contain an English dub as well as the original Japanese audio, with English subs, but best checking each release to make sure.

I nearly always try to watch any Japanese anime in it's native language audio with English subs.
Love the films but not gonna pay that much for a Blu-Ray, even if this IS the cheapest available.
Thanks for all the effort, heat added.
Cheers OP
Nice work there!

No, it isn`t.

The direction, or lack of it. The aimless meandering storyline. The feeling of complete detachment as the filmakers don`t even seem to make any effort to connect with the audience. To name just a few.

Unfortunately, Miyazaki junior just doesn`t appear to be as good a filmmaker as his father.

Has anyone here ever read about the supposed darker undertones to Totoro? Really interesting, but may ruin your idea of the film. Personally, I think it gave it an even more interesting spin to an already brilliant film!

Yes it does change the way you look at it, just like No Face in spirted away "buying" women
These deals aren't worth the heat... Terrible prices! Sure a bit if effort went into it but what's it worth if the deals aren't good anyway?
This is pure awesome. If those on thread wanna sell their DVDs please gimme a buzz and ill take them off your hands

The trouble is that Studio Ghibli releases rarely dip in price. Yes they're not £3 blu-ray bargains from Fopp, but their regular high prices mean that it's even more important to get the best price.
