Absolutely beautiful film

Definitely, but the least Ghibli of all the Ghibli films to date in my opinion.

It stands alone as a decent movie, but is very much one for the collectors as a Ghibli movie.
Check out the soundtrack
Cheers op...Fantastic flim and soundtrack...ordered ta
Excellent movie has the old-school French animation vibe all over it (Moebius, Humanoides Associes). Totally recommended - especially if you like steelbook editions.
Thank you, heat
"free" on Amazon prime I believe. Great film but is very slow so struggled watching it more than once.
Thanks for posting @LTic we have added this to Highlights.
Great film, love almost everything Studio Ghibli have made.

That's because it isn't really a Ghibli film per se. It's a co production. Ghibli assited in some of the technicalities. It's largely a German-Franco animation. But the Ghibli name sells.

I think the only Ghibli touch to this is the tiny crabs. Even the tone isn't their normal fare. It does have a more European style to it and lacks the adventure of a normal Ghibli product.

been this price for a long time now (at least 3-4 months) but still good deal
I really didn't enjoy this movie.
Found this very very hard going managed to get to the end. However, I really think it's an aquired taste of a film. I would realy watch this if you can before parting with the cash for the set. it's a very very slow film...
