I bought one of these the last time they did them for that price (a year ago). Used it for work only (computer and printer engineer) and still working fine with not a scratch on it.

WELL worth the money.

How do you find out if the store does free adjustment?

i got one of these a coupel of weeks ago...

Sekonda do strap adjustment for free. In the box is a measuring guide, you then send it off....unsure if the store does it tho! HTH

I bought this watch for a Christmas present around the end of October for this price and had it re-sized in my local store free of charge at the end of December no problem.. I did check before I purchased it - informimg them that it was a Christmas present and they just said " As long as you keep your receipt it's fine!"
HTH

P.s Fab watch!

Plenty of stock about and a smart looking watch for the money......quite tempted myself

Got one of these last time round, wearing it now, love it.

Thanks Edi, going to treat Hubby

Nice deal! thinking of buying one but are they water resistant?

Of course we do,it's that little bit of paper that posh southern people get when they buy something instead of nicking it like it us common northerners.

Hahahaha you are very funny.

I work in Argos and yes adjustments are free and most stores dont ask for receipts its just a matter of somebody who knows how to do adjustments actually working.

But good luck

do they get "trained" to adjust them then?

Do Argos do the bracelet adjustment instore for free?

Great deal! Just got one but they told me that they had to send it away for adjustment and it would take at least 2 weeks. Took it home and did it myself in 5 minutes! It is easy to take the links out because there are little cut outs on the back of the first 3-4 links which allow you to push the pins out!

Any chance of a slightly more detailed description please. I just can't see what the method for removing the links is, obviously the arrows are getting at something..I was following this guide ]http//ww…htm which is the same idea..but I'm a little lost.

Any help appreciated

Very similar to that guide apart from the pins look different. You should be able to see a little bump of metal inside the round cut out on the last 3-4 links closest to the clasp, this is part of the pin, if you push the bump with the blade of a small screw driver in the direction of the arrows the pin will push out, you can then pull the pin completely out with a pair of pliers. It does take a bit of pressure to push the bump on the pin under the metal of the link but it does move eventually!.
I can't really think of any other way of explaining it but if you have any more questions just PM me again.

Thanks for that mate, I think I just need to push it harder and maybe find something better than a paper clip to use

Will have another go later

I'll add rep now

Ah success, was alot easier using a knife than a paper clip!..one pin is now slightly bent out of shape, and the other one won't quite slide right in, but atleast it fits!!

Glad you got it sorted. I'm still trying to work out how to change the day on it! :?

Can't help you there I'm afraid...but I wonder how it knows when its a 30 day month and when its a 31 day month etc. :? Maybe its obvious and I'm being thick...guess I'll find out what happens at the end of February!

On a watch like this when there are less than 31 days in the month you have to advance it manually by pulling the adjuster out part way and turning it anticlockwise. I thought that turning it clockwise would alter the day but it doesn't. :?

As usual it does help if I read the instructions  I now know how to alter the day!
