They can't charge you then: just get the charge refunded.

Just a heads up I did this last year and have had trouble cancelling. My subscriber info 'wasn't recognised' online so I sent them an email, but judging by the fact I got charged for another year it was ignored. It's a good magazine and a hot deal but I wish I hadn't signed up now!

If anyone has the UK cancellations number I'd be very interested?

How long did it take for the first magazine issue to come?

Magazine is good. Interesting articles, quite small. Worth the money though. Replacement watch I received wasn't quite as bad, however clearly very cheap. Went straight to a young relative or the charity shop probably.

Theyr'e doing this deal again.... Any feedback on the watch (or the magazine)?

I got this deal too, and still enjoying the magazines! Its very US focused though, so alot of the articles are on the US economic situation, but still a good read at 36 issues for £20.

Great magazine for around 45p and I do like the articles. Although it is US/UK centric it is still quite informative. However, as others pointed out, if one only ever watch BBC/ITV and access UK/US media then one conscience could get quite skewed. One really needs to access media in Chinese, Arabic, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, French, German, Spanish, etc. and other American English independent tongues to get a balanced view of current affairs. Invariably no matter how well informed a writer is, an institutional medium will have a particular slant towards an concensus cultural view. You may be surprised that if you combine viewing of the typical BBC and ITV news and other native language broadcast how the current affairs are reported differently for the same event. As to whether the contents are what people want, Time Magazine do not appear to actively solicitsurvey from readers what they like to read. But this is probably fine tuning. Finally a hot deal with free gift. Well recommended to those who do not read a newspaper daily or at all! As for the price it is a real bargain as assuming that the postage in bulk is probably around 20p then the magazine is about 25p.A bargain!

Time = Chronicles of America
Got fed up of them after subscribing a few months ago. Cant stand to read just about everybody in the US f@rting or doing some such thing to get into the news.
Wont get it even if given free.

Despite the alleged saving (the magazine is pretty scant on pages and not top quality print/paper) it turned out to be the biggest waste of time (excuse the pun!) as far as deals go, plus i got a constant reminder each week (when the magazine arrived) of what a complete waste of money the subscription was.Unless your a current reader and know what to expect, go for it, otherwise you will be sorely disappointed.

I will second that. I went for exactly the same deal last year. Pretty disappointed with the mag. Although it is a Uk edition there is a heavy bias for US news and very little on UK/EU. If it is the free encyclopedia you are interested, check out what it costs on its own and see if you can get it cheaper.

Anyways why would you need an encyclopedia in the days of google and wikipedia :-)

I did this offer in July and didn't get the first issue until December … I did this offer in July and didn't get the first issue until December 28th!

wow, thats pretty lame

is this usual?

This is a long-term offer for 'Time'. I have taken it out on several occasions and it has always provided enjoyable reading material, and taken against the shop RRP. of £2.95 is a considerable bargain.

Cancelling involves no more than a email to an email address stated clearly on the subscription site, and can be done in advance of the subscription ending, therefore you can get all 81 issues without paying any additional fees. They even sent a letter in advance of the end of the subscription period, to remind me that it was due to be renewed, therefore reminding you of whether to continue or cancel.

On the few occasions, that a issue arrived damaged, an additional copy would be sent and an additional week added to the subscription period, in gratitude.

I subscribed the last time around and think this is real poor value for money.

Continue to get it but have stopped reading as you get a very polarised view of the world. Their take on Europe is very poor and atleast 50% of the magazine is irrelevant if you are a non American.

Got the last offer, and it's not the first time I'd subscribed to Time.

Very good if you are living in a non-English speaking country and are a news junkie but to be honest you can't beat a good book on the Council Gritter. I'm reading What Left? by Nic Cohn at the mo and it is soooo much more substantial and informing than Time despite being 5 years old, and let's face it magazines are alway dated by the time you get it let alone read it.

I did this offer in July and didn't get the first issue until December 28th!
