any way of turning the ads off or taking them off?

Not substantial enough for me. (I mean the advert subsidy)

Would you be able to block ads using DNS or VPN (e.g. the free DNS66 app)? I guess WileyFox would know how to circumvent such tactics.

Or a custom rom?

£119 for the above specs seems pretty good to me... But its obvious most people dont like it!

Ads on the lock screen- similar to what Amazon do with their Kindles? That at least is pretty unobtrusive

LOL, say goodbye to your battery life with constant adds on screen.

I had the original Swift. The battery life was awful as it was!

"Ads... appear on waking the phone." Not displayed permanently.

After reading FAQ and t&c's.

Make sure you put you are under 18 when setting up the phone as potentially you could have porn GIF's as your adverts!

Also if you hack the ROM to remove the adverts you will invalidate the warranty, but guessing you would know that.
(Not sure how that would hold up at small claims court if you had a hardware failure).

You will loose warranty if I'm right if bootloader couldn't be relocked, imo but I'm not intended to buy so no time for further research but anyone interested should worth to have a look.

phone, customer support. I replaced mine with 30 squids Ulephone which is 20 times better (my wileyfox was only 4 months old)

How can you loose something that's non existent (unless you take them to court)
