Some kids just aren't ready at 2 and if your little one isn't ready yet you'll just drive yourself crazy trying. I have 4 kids and all learnt at different ages.
Gimmick for parents that think this will solve potty training in an instant. Don't waste your money please. My first who is now 10 still doesn't flush or lift the seat. My 8 year old is brill and cleans up after his older brother.get them on the loo asap after the traditional potty. This is totally unnecessary.

Totally agree with you. We didn't use the potty at all with number 4 put her straight on the loo with one of those moulded seats on top, I couldn't face washing a potty out again. Every child is different.

Ditto .....
We went straight to a big girl seat skipping the potty, didn't fancy cleaning up all time. Well worth the price for our family. Also ditto to what PP said, when they're ready they'll want to ditch the nappies amazon.co.uk/dp/…MAP

It the same size as most nursery’s have so it does help and it trains them better than a plastic small potty

From what I heard boys are meant to take longer potty training and aren't ready until closer to 3. However my son was definitely my easiest to toilet train, I didn' use a potty at all just got him a step so he could reach the toilet. It's my 2 year old daughter who's proving problematic for me. Was using the toilet by 18 months but won't entertain it now. I'e decided to leave it for a bit because trying to push her was getting me nowhere

I think we've suffered from our first child being really easy to potty train and taking to it well!

But, like you said, you can't force them to do most things and potty training is something they'll take to when the time is right.

Yeah our daughter took a step backwards for quite a while (10 months or so from memory). She had stated going on the potty and telling us when she needed to go then just stopped all of a sudden and wouldn't even entertain the idea. We just kept asking her and giving her incentives to go on.... But never forcing her or telling her off for going in her nappy. She got there eventually.

Well that's what my daughter is doing but she actually still tells me when she needs to go which is frustrating because she will sit on the potty and the toilet but asks for a nappy when she gets desperate and will hold it in if I won't let her have a happy. Im sure she will come round again, i had it easy with my first two kids so it was obvious I was going to get a tough one this time round haha. Oh the joys of toilet training aye
what a awful thing to place in the living room what's the idea just pee in living rooms in the future? Disgusting idea.

I think you would put it in the bathroom next to the full sized toilet if you were bothered. But a lot of parents keep a potty in the living room when first potty training, so what’s the difference?
never needed such gimmicks, just be a parent and spend time allowing your children to learn to use the toilet. before long bingo they will do it themselves, been that way for generations.
What a load of sh!t.
