THE JAPANESE BOX OFFICE SENSATION!
When timid eleventh-grader and math genius Kenji Koiso is asked by older student and secret crush Natsuki to come with her to her family’s Nagano home for a summer job, he agrees without hesitation. Natsuki’s family, the Jinnouchi clan, dates back to the Muromachi era, and they’ve all come together to celebrate the 90th birthday of the spunky matriarch of the family, Sakae. That’s when Kenji discovers his “summer job” is to pretend to be Natsuki’s fiancé and dance with her at the birthday celebration. As Kenji attempts to keep up with Natsuki’s act around her family, he receives a strange math problem on his cell phone which, being a math genius, he can’t resist solving. As it turns out, the solution to the mysterious equation causes a hijacking of the social networking site through which most of the world's social and business traffic flows. It’s up to Kenji and his new fake family to put reality back in order.

This looks great! Will get it ordered now! Cheers OP!

hot, exceptionally cheap for this!

Bought this a week ago at full price. oO

Anyway, I love Summer wars. It has a great original story (That's if you didn't see that Digimon movie when you were a kid lol)

Mamoru Hosoda is an Extremely creative man.

Scorching!

Like Starberries, I bought this at £18 last week. Crying into my cornflakes as I type...

Cheers, great price

just a pity the dvds are dearer than the blue rays

mailman

looks good. 7.2 and 7.9 on imdb respectively

I'd rate them a lot higher than that, especially at this price

God dam it! Bought this for £15 a while back.

Girl who Leapt through Time is awesome, so lucking forward to seeing it in HD & I can finally get round to seeing Summer Wars too.

Posted in the huge manga post for zavvi already.
Oh well, guess it was worth the "sort of" double post if its getting all this heat.
Oh yeah, everyone whos looking at this should also read that zavvi manga post. :-)

I think this was posted earlier in the day than that deal, it just got hot later.

And thanks, ordered.

looks like an awesome deal, im more into ghibli than manga but for this price im sure i can get my money back after watching.

Girl who Leapt through time is absolutely epic. Summer Wars is also great but like Starberries said, it's like Digimon the Movie. Still great deal though.

ive never seen digimon, isnt that for kids like pokemon? never bothered with any of that guff.

oh well ordered as it seems like an interesting film (summer wars). got it from asda though for £6.24 with 10% code - im always getting them from the hut group - refuse to buy from them now without one, im that used to them.

if you are still in the dark ages of dvds then you deserve to pay more lol. most bluray versions are within £2 of dvds these days and most are double play anyway.

Thanks OP, ordered this yesterday and am looking forward to seeing it.

Ordered this, never seen these films, looking forward to it though.

Seen the girl who leapt through time, very good.

Yup, that's my thread and I can confirm this one came first.

Neither are 'kids' programs; The Girl Who Leapt Through Time would send most kiddies and young teens to sleep; Summer Wars has more 'flashy' graphic images and would probably interest kids but again is aimed at an older audience. I don't think there's anything in either particularly unsuitable for kids.

Both are very very good and well worth owning.

Thanks for the confirmation
Was also slightly worried if it was aimed at the younger generation but looking forward to my purchase now along with Tokko and Claymore from the same sale due to recommendations from the peeps here

Anybody got their copy yet - mine is still "processing" after 4 days

Mine too. Beginning to wonder if they are going to cancel the order as the price has gone up to £17.85, whereas it is only £7.87 at Amazon now.

I see Zavvi were very quick to take their money from my Paypal account though, and after 7 days mine is still 'processing' too. Anyone any idea if this means that they will fulfil the order as they've taken my money (on 19 June)?

Where is my copy Zavvi???

Same?

Only got an email to say mine has now been despatched because I called them to find out where the f*$& it was. Told them they had no right to take my money and make me wait 12 days before despatching it; lo and behold I got an email yesterday to say it had been sent...
