I used sum up first and the payments took so long to reach your account and the software was unreliable I now use the square terminal and it never lets me down next day deposits and long battery life definitely recommend.

I think the SumUp is good.
1 single fee as opposed to different fees for different cards/payment types.
Useful for simple transactions.
Payouts are not immediate but I've never had a problem with them.
My only gripes are:
1) It can lose connection with your device if it goes to sleep between transactions, I've not figured out why yet.
2) If you're using this with Android you don't get a POS app, that only works on Apple, so you need a third party one (Loyverse is good and free).

Other than that £14.50 is a great price for a cheap card solution with the lowest fees.
We have used the Sumup card reader for about 10 weeks. We have had to reset the WiFi that the phone uses to link to the card twice. Other than that no issues. Would definitely recommend. And at this price you can't go wrong :-) don't forget that there is also 10% student discount with Ryman.

We use Sumup and run the app on Android phones, one is a Samsung and the other is a Huawei. We haven't needed any other app?

The standard App is fine if you need basic sales, but if you have offers, discounts, 2 for £X, then you'll want a POS system. With SumUp this is only available on iTunes, not on Google Play unfortunately.
Wow. Just had a look at loyverse. Great for POS. Signed up and started using already. :-)

Glad that's been of use! I struggled for ages without a POS, wish I'd found it sooner.
