amazon.co.uk/Sum…8-1

Also says 4.5% quidco but mine tracked at £2.49 making the effective cost of the tablet £52.94!!

I don't think you can find a better spec tablet anywhere for close to this money, but if you want one get your orders in good a quick because Misco have a tendency to not update their stock levels

Ordered one yesterday and confirmed today so they definitely have stock
I managed to get three last time. Arrived with 16GB instead of 8gb :-D
I ordered one of these the other week for a Christmas present. Was very impressed with Misco, ordered around 5pm and it was with before 9am the next morning even when choosing the 3 day delivery option!

Can't say too much about the tablet as yet as not really had a look at it, however they sent the 16gb model instead of the 8 which is a bonus!

For those used to more high-end devices, the screen resolution will be a bit disappointing but for £55 it looks to be a steal!
Two of these arrived this morning and we have one coming tomorrow. (I also have an iPad mini, just to assure you I'm not biased...)

Both the ones we received are 16 GB, one had the screen protector on and one didn't.

I looked for weeks for the cheapest 'bearable' tablet and these fit the bill. The screen is pretty poor (if you've seen those cheap Versus tablets in PC World you'll know what I mean). For £53, I'm sure the tablet will be fine for people who just want to use Facebook etc.

I have installed Go Launcher and made the icons bigger on the home screen which helps a bit with the low-res screen (don't expect miracles though). IPlayer, Facebook and Google Play all working. Looks like Skype will work but haven't logged in yet. (edit - it does work)

The tablet does lag when installing apps but that's to be expected I think.

Definitely the best spec around for £50-odd quid.

To clarify, just tried a Skype video call from Mac to the tablet and it worked fine.
Just had Quidco declined on the first order. It's only 1% on the ex-VAT price on open box sales anyway. Probably best not to rely on cashback for this deal.

Just had call from Misco cancelling order. Would expire now
I ordered one of these about six weeks ago - went missing whilst in the hands of the delivery company.

Ordered another one, hopefully this one will arrive...
I have just had phone call cancelling also said they may have more stock over xmas so might be worth checking back
Had the phone call. No stock

Sorry to hear that! When they cancelled me 6 weeks a go the refund was very quick (12hrs) but still no excuse for not updating their systems.. Apologies
Its not your fault mate, as you said they should have updated there site, even tho there cancelling orders they still ain't updated it.
Misco have always been useless at updating the site and claimed last year to have been introducing a stock system that automatically detected when OOS.

Clearly not in place.

Great buy for those who managed to get in though.
Whats the battery life on this like ?
For those who had phone calls to cancel, did you get a second email 'confirming' the order?

Ordered last night and got a second 'confirmation' email. just recieved an email from city link confirming dispatch for tomorrow
ordered 2 Saturday. Both delivered today Tuesday. Both units working well. Even better the website stated 8gb storage but the delivered units are the 16gb model. A great deal.
Had a City Link email confirming despatch, thanks - was just wondering as there was no trace of it in my account and thought it might be cancelled.

I ordered one of these yesterday and got my city link text tonight for delivery tomorrow. I've ordered it for my seven year old boy and agonised over the decision despite it being the price of a lego set! If you read this then would you mind letting me know if you have been happy with yours?

I haven't opened mine because it's a present too.. although I was seriously tempted! It was the 16gb which arrived, like most people who ordered from misco.

If it helps though I've spend months looking at the budget tablet market and for the most part these tabs get very positive reviews across the board!

For £50 odd quid you can't really go wrong, hope your son enjoys his!

Thanks for getting back to me. It's arrived, delivery quick, that's a good start. Even though it's a gift I've taken it out and I'm charging it up as I want to check it over, connect it to the internet and get angry birds on it. I dont want any nasty surprises on Christmas Day. I'll let you know how I get on. I'll have to wait until after bed time to have a proper look at it! It was all sealed like new and is also the 16GB version so all going well so far!

Hi Saintledger, thought I'd report back. Well I charged it for a few hours ( it shows a green battery when you press the power button when it is ready) Once powered up I navigated to the wi-fi (through settings) put in the wireless password and it was sorted. Downloaded Angry Birds and all is fine.

I have no experience of these machines so have nothing to compare with but from what I can tell it will be fine. The screen is clear enough and it seems to work quick enough (compared to my old laptop that my son has at the moment it's lightening fast!) I just know that my son is going to love it. You can do so much with it, internet, photos, music, films, calculator, so much to keep a 7 year old happy, I dont think you need to spend any more. It's all about learning and getting used to the technology at the moment. I would say I'm very happy with it, maybe even end up getting myself one for on the go!

All in all I'm very happy with the purchase and I'm sure you will be too. It's not easy for people like me (and sounds like you too) who have to trawl the internet and the vast amounts of info before making a decision. I know that there are loads of these things around but I do think that this is probably the best for the money at the moment!

Maybe the only complaint I might have is that the instructions are not that detailed, I worked out how to move icons onto the desktop but there will be other things that will crop up that we will just have to fathom out. I guess to people who use these devices more frequently it would be easier but I'm a bit of a novice it will take a bit longer to navigate around. I'm sure my 7 year old will help me though!

Have a great Christmas!

Sounds very good indeed!

I bought mine for my sister who's always using her Internet on her phone as her laptop is painfully slow to load too, by the sounds of it this will serve as a very good alternative. For the money there's nothing out there which comes close to the spec of this machine.

If you're having any trouble working the device google is always great for trouble shooting advice
Misco are great for cheap open box products, I ordered the Sumvision Cyclone and the Versus 7 as open box. Both units arrived the next day and looked like new, all accessories present, boxes were undamaged and the tablets still had the film on the screen and the rear casing. Only trouble was the screen rotation did not work, had to send back and re-order, finally after 3 orders later we received good working tablets. The Versus 7 from Misco is the same tablet from CPW and Currys BUT! the one from Misco has a HDMI input and a gloss black rear case instead of metallic grey. Since then I went out and took advantage of the CPW Samsung Galaxy Tab2 deal (£148 + £30 cash back + 8GB), great tablet but I still like the Sumvision and the Versus becasue what you get for so little money.
These are back in-stock again, these do sell out very quickly and Misco do not have a live stock feed, so there is no way of knowing if your order has been successful until you either receive order confirmation or the cancellation phone call/email.

The Sumvision Cyclone is a superb tablet and can play 3D games with ease, surfing the net is smooth and surprisingly quick. Wifi signal is strong, can pick up a signal from one end of the house to the other, I've gone down to the end of the garden and still was showing 2 bars. The tablet supports the Google Play store and the BBC iPlayer, even ITV Player, seems to cope with everything you throw at it. The speaker sound quality is very good, extremely loud for a tablet device, the tablet also has a HDMI output which is a bonus these days.

The Sumvision tablet is a decent well made good quality tablet that performs perfectly, for £55 its superb and I don't think any other tablet in this range can perform no where near as good. The reviews I've read are positive, people seem to be happy with the good quality of the unit for such a low price,.far better than any of those unbranded inferior tablets from abroad. lol

Its a branded model and Sumvision have their own Website with plenty of support. Misco themselves offer outstanding customer service, next day delivery most of the time and if you have a problem its soon quickly sorted.

Subscribed to this thread ages ago, and noticed your comment popped up. I bought one last time they came in stock and have been really happy with it. It amuses me all the 'deals' from china at £40ish with this being next day delivery and uk support. Its worth the extra £20 not to have to keep your fingers crossed it arrives from China and then hope it doesn't set your house on fire! I guess stock is sporadic though and couldn't satisfy the masses. I would certainly recommend these though. I bought mine for my son to play on. I would be tempted to get one for myself if I wasn't trying to cut back on expenditure after Christmas.
I totally agree with you there ripoffh8er, you cant fault these units at all. Misco buy these units is small bulks or at times large pallets from a supplier in Scotland as open box units.

The ones I bought came in like new condition, still protected with the clear film etc, However there have been times I have purchased other products from Misco which have arrived in a shocking condition, either damaged or faulty, but Misco soon sort out the problem by arranging collection free of charge, this is standard service to all their customers......................... simply superb!
