Best Budget portable speaker 2016

pcadvisor.co.uk/tes…23/

pcadvisor.co.uk/rev…72/

Arrived yesterday and I have been alternating playing with it and the chromecast audio I also picked up yesterday ......

Build quality is top notch , very heavy and metal, and sound quality is fantastic.

I got it to replace my old Kitsound Boombar for the bedroom, and its a different league, I have had hifi's that have not sounded as good....

I cant say how it compares to others on here at the moment but notice the sony has been giving some problems..........

Is this one any … Is this one any good:https://www.amazon.co.uk/Anker-Dual-Driver-Groundbreaking-Distortion-Microphone-Black/dp/B016MO90GW?ie=UTF8&SubscriptionId=AKIAID2HUF7VPZYSVYFQ&camp=2025&creative=165953&creativeASIN=B016MO90GW&linkCode=xm2&psc=1&tag=pcad03-21

Depends what you want it for really, its 6w whereas the sumvision is 20w so the sound is probably not in the same ball park, its about the same specs as my old Kitsound which was fine, but not a patch on the sumvision imo I know its my deal but for the sake of a fiver ,,,,

But if its for taking out and about , it claims 24 hour battery life , which is great...........

It's a Bluetooth speaker so will be powered can control volume etc. But it's a different product really. This is convenient if want to go camping to the park.

The chromecast audio you need an amp/powered speakers works if wifi not over Bluetooth.

Bluetooth is designed for lower power audio transmission over very short distance.

To get that the frequency range has been compressed and limited to me sounds muddy lacks clarity.

Most Bluetooth speakers the speaker part seems to be built just to that standard even if cabled not great range.

Bluetooth drains my battery means I have to leave my phone plugged in near speaker to stop cutting out. I don't find it a comparison for home listening and upgraded to chromecast audios.
If going to use multi room later have old half decent speakers laying around then I would do that with a little amp.

Cheers for the feedback....just wasn't sure if it would work with the chrome audio....so I could have the best of both.
Just wanted something small and decent for the bedroom....and my thinking was to get this add the chrome and send files via Google play on my phone.
Have been torn between this and the Anker but having just read lots of reviews of this product on amazon and nearly every single review the person had been paid/heavily discounted (where have all the honest reviews gone!?) am going for the Anker. Still voted hot though as this is a good price.

Yeah I would have gone for the Anker too, if it had been on offer at the time, and totally agree about amazon reviews these days.............

Thats what I got it for,the bedroom, and use it with google play , you dont need the chromecast for that, but I do have a chromecast in the living room and it is better than bluetooth but both have been great purchases .......
yeah thats the one i've decided to go for stuffies.

In this case the reviews, influenced or not, are actually spot on. I picked one of these up from Amazon and for the price sounds unbelievably good. The bass on this sounds better most of the portable overpriced ones I tried out in Currys.
watch us rock the mike, watch us rock the mike.....
This has expired, gone up to £44.90 which is a shame as would like to buy one
