Nice

Damn that is nice. £10 for one of each and probably at least 6 months of life I would guess. Wonder if the software for those macro buttons on the mouse is any good/exists

Boosh.
Have some heat

nice, i like that. not much of a gamer but i'd still be happy to get that because it looks quite cool

My guess is those "marco" buttons are browser forward/backward ones. My last couple mouses have had them - useless outside of games, but most modern games you can rebind the buttons to keys though, usually have reload and push to talk on mine

Tempted to pick one up, the mouses are generally considered hit or miss from sumvision, a branded keyboard and mouse for just under a tenner? Can't argue with that!

Heat added bargain at this price

Great price for a spare

Off topic I know, but these threads are likely to attract the kind of people that might be able to answer my question.

I bought a cheap tatty mouse not dissimilar to the above that has back and forward buttons on the side. Any idea what I need to do to activate those buttons? Thanks in advance to anyone that can help.

What makes the keyboard a gaming one?
Bought a normal keyboard from cpc deal posted a few weeks ago for 3£ish.
Need a multi button mouse to play games with so thinking of buying this bundle. Unless anyone can recommend a mouse within 20£?

Probably not being part of a £10 combo deal for starters...
In this case it just seems to have the WASD keys in a tacky yellow colour too, which obviously helps out hugely when you're gaming...

It has sharp edges.

If its not Mechanical its not a proper gaming keyboard and before someone says it i do not have a Razer keyboard.

Perixx MX-3000 is awesome if you shop around. I got mine for £15. It takes punishment, dropped it like 10 times on laminate floor.

Sadly, true. Gaming gear tends to be awfully ugly. Exception to the rule: the CM Store Quickfire Rapid Ninja (or Rapid-i). However, labelling it a gaming keyboard is a little silly in the first place: it's just a great TKL mechanical keyboard.

Since no one has replied, I'll take a stab at it, I'd look for drivers first and foremost, most mice have drivers or software packages to 'map' keys, what make and model of mouse do you have? start off on manufacturers website, then if all else fails, google the model and your issue, 75% of the time it works every time.

Unfortunately cheap mice with two extra buttons on the side work as backward and forward keys. These cheap mice do not come with any additional software, however using 3rd party software may help (may!).
Take a look here, this guy has written this nice 3rd party software for such cheap mice. (http://www.highrez.co.uk/downloads/XMouseButtonControl.htm)

I also found an article from 2010 (http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/14400/use-those-extra-mouse-buttons-to-increase-efficiency/), I strongly recommend you read all the information available prior to the installation.

My cheap TechNet wireless mouse has these extra buttons, I dont use the buttons because I forget the buttons are actually there.

Yellow WASD keys and a tacky design does not a gaming keyboard make.

If the keyboard was shaped like a regular keyboard I'd give this heat, but I can't help but feel it's only called a "gaming keyboard" to lure in people who want a cheap gaming keyboard but don't really know what they're looking for.

It's there to spoil teenagers' birthday wishes.

Are there any Mechanical keyboards for less that £40?

Don't think so. You might find a Razer close to that range every now and then, if that's your thing.

It looks quite cheap.

ignore the recommendations for cheap chinese knockoff mice. Make a good buy and pick up a CM Storm Xornet or Logitech G100S. Proper optical sensors which are ideal for gaming, which is obviously the most crucial part of a mouse.

the reviews make the Storm very tempting and at a nice price too (16.99 w/o del).
the logitec seems very poor going by the reviews amazon.co.uk/Log…00s

Personally I've never used either of them, but I'd heard very good things about both. The reviews are interesting on the logitech. That model is the one that many pro CSGO players use, it's was a quality product to my knowledge. Maybe I'll stop recommending it.

OOS so expired

Mine was delivered today and the mouse is FOOBAR - broken left button. MyMemory CS is the pits they don't care and they are very rude, disconnecting the chat whenever they feel like it. Can't have a replacement as they still don't have any more. I will not be using this company again and HUKD should ban them from here - CS is a must these days, but they are shocking at it.

Caveat Emptor indeed!
