Well this will be first year they have done the holidays with the Sun Perks running along side, but here is what the website says
"When booking online you only need to enter the code words that are printed on the tokens into the booking website. You do not need to send your tokens into Sun Holidays when making a booking online."

In addition Sun Perks members can book now from the Perks website, otherwise if you are a previous Sun Holiday members you should receive a priority booking form.

Hope this helps.

Login in to the Sun Perks website, select the Sun Holidays perk and get the perk, This should take you direct to the booking site.

-- just checked this and it looks like logins are currently disabled, perhaps it will be officially launched in the new year, although I did get the following email today, so it may be closed for the next few days?

"The wait is nearly over. The Sun's Holidays from £9.50 start this Saturday, and we wanted you to be the first to know.
Look out for your pack, which we’ll be sending in the next few days so you can check out the hundreds of great holiday parks on offer in 2014. Then, simply log into Sun+ to choose your dates and check availability when booking opens on January 12. It couldn’t be simpler.
Plus, you don’t have to collect tokens! As one of our most valued Sun+ members, we’re making it even easier for you this year - you won’t need to collect any tokens, so you can book even more easily. So, keep an eye out for your holiday pack in the post and get booking your bargain family break soon.
See you in The Sun"

Post has been updated to reflect this, thanks for drawing this to my attention.

Has anyone tried out any of the sites in Europe? Any good?

As with other years will someone be kind enough to the post the codes and guess the last one please ?

I got my pack through today and there doesn't seem to be any dates in Europe in July. We went last year and were hoping to go again. The ferry deals include travel up to 21st July though. Am I missing something?

It looks like the Summer holidays will be in a different promotion, as I could not see any summer hols in the UK either. The ferry dates are offered across the board and will probably be used again for the summer promotion.

We've stayed at Le Chen Gris in Paris several times, great for visits to Disney, as it's so close. Also a site in Holland that they no longer offer and a place in Italy too, all great. Will be booking again in Europe.

What time can you start booking online? It used to be about 7am wasn't it?

After reading a few comments on here am i right in saying now unless you pay the Sun+ subscription you've now got to send off all the cut out voucher codes from within the newspapers? If you have can't see me booking again, too much hassle and you end up never getting what you really want

Yes it will be around that time on the 12th January. Although I have found the site a bit temperamental even before the bookings have gone live.

I agree this is still not very clear from the Sun. However the leaflet in today's paper seems to suggest you can book through Sun Perks (and forget the tokens) or collect the tokens and send off your entry. However, there is a catch with the Perks option, in that you can not book 7 day holidays, only 3 or 4 days.

We stayed in Paris at La Crois de View Pont a few years ago. It is a bit off the beaten track but is nice when you get there. It isn't a caravan its a tent thing thats already put up and has everything you need (not like our tents). It has a beautiful lake and a small play park for the kids. An indoor and outdoor pool. Unlike our English campsites it does not have an arcade to swallow your money and the entertainment is a little bit boring. It has a restaurant which served nice food and wasn't too badly priced. It also has a very small supermarket on site. It is about a 40 minute drive to Disneyland but if you do go there eat before you get back as we didn't and the restaurant was closed when we got back. Its a clean site and I would go back. Hope this helps.

Original "question" I used the ? as shorthand for the word question, sorry if I confused you.
I dont know what you wrote about because you didnt express yourself very well.

Do most of you go by the ferry and drive when you go to europe or fly?

I've got a couple of spare codes. pm if you want one (I'm out ATM, will send in about an hour)

does this actually work out cheaper than if you book a basic caravan on the same dates as by the time you add linen and passes etc surely it can all add up?

Ive always been tempted by them but have never done one hence the asking?

How does it work if you wanted to go on your own btw?

edit some one just told me its a min of 4

We've stayed at several, and they're a world apart from the UK sites. We've always ended up with Eurocamp/Keycamp so you can check their website. They generally have fantastic pool complexes, although if it's off-season the weather might not be suitable for that.

We've stayed at La Croix de Vieux Pont (someone else already reviewed it - fantastic place with a swimming lake and inland sandy beach, heated pools indoor and out with waterslides and loads of outdoor play areas), Cypsela in Spain (not with the Sun tho) which is lovely - has a non-smoking pool area which is rare in Spain! And Playa Montroig (got that twice with The Sun for Oct half-term) which is gorgeous and was just-about warm enough in late October. Never had a bad Euro campsite, and we've done about a dozen, compared to the UK which is, like-it-or-not, chavsville. Doesn't stop me going and enjoying it anyway though!!

You can be shrewd with it - we always take own linen - wouldn't want theirs anyway. You can search the park info and find some that offer free passes and free service charge. We've managed a few that have been just the £40. You can go alone if you want, or as a couple, but it's still £40. They'll only charge you for entertainment passes for however many people go though.

Anyone going to list todays code?
Thanks

Today code is GOOD.

We booked croix de vieux pont in ile de Paris, France last year. We went the first week in September. Including the ferry we paid around £165 for 4 of us for 4 nights. The park was fantastic, the accommodation was brilliant and I would heartily recommend.
