whatsThePoint

be cheaper to buy 1 carton of pure fruit juice and add 11 ltr of water

You forgot to factor in the cost of sugar/sweetners that you gotta add

Yeah isn't this just expensive pre diluted cordial. Waste of money guys

I hate the term "juice drink", the number of people who must get tricked into buying 10% juice, 90% water, sugar and junk...

If something's not 90%+ juice/pulp they should be made to say the percentage of fruit in font the same size as "juice drink" on the front.

This is one of my peeves, second only to buying "banana and strawberry smoothies" that are 60% apple or grape juice.

Is it safe to eat products containing aspartame?

EFSA considers that aspartame is safe for human consumption and that there is no scientific evidence to date which gives reason to reconsider previous safety assessments of aspartame. EFSA keeps the safety of aspartame under regular review and its scientific panels have issued several opinions on this sweetener.

Why have questions been raised about aspartame in the past?

Prior to its authorisation and since its market introduction, the safety of aspartame has sparked interest and controversy. Questions have primarily been raised about some of the early experimental animal studies utilised to evaluate the safety of aspartame. Extensive reviews on aspartame have been carried out by many national and international regulatory and advisory bodies. All have concluded that the scientific evidence is sufficient to confirm that aspartame is safe for human consumption.

in another report they said its safe for pregnant women to take … in another report they said its safe for pregnant women to take thalidomide

Which is precisely why testing is so much more rigorous these days ( and I am sure you meant to say "it was" and not "it is").

Anyway ,the point is that one persons subjective opinion should not be used as fact in order to bias others - to call aspartame "poison" is inappropriate and needed to be balanced.

Don`t want a flame war - it`s a bargain forum. Both sides have now been seen, so people can judge for themselves.
