This alarm clock starts to light up 20 minutes before the time you have set. It is great for those like me who struggle to wake up in the dark! Similar ones by Phillips start retailing from £49.99 so this is a real bargain. It should normally be £20, Im not sure how long it will be half price for!
P.S, mine came yesterday and I love it, its nice not waking up when its still dark!

OOOH PLUS 14% QUIDCO !!! yay !!!

Vulgar

Thanks op ordered one for the wife

Is it bright enough? I presume if it is bright enough then the power consumption will be high and the batteries would constantly need replacing. It is probably fairly dim though?

looks good thanks OP

To be honest it is a bit dim but its better than waking in complete darkness at 6 in the morning, lol! Plus it is a bargain at a tenner!

Bought one for my husband who complains daily when I switch the main light on - hope it works!! Nice price and used BIRTHDAY08 code for %10 off and free delivery.

I've wanted one of these for years but they have always been £100 plus so fingers crossed this will be just as good or it'l be going on ebay lol

 Fabtastic. Been wanting something just like this, thanks.

Heat added. Fantastic - thanks!

good price hot

Look's dodgy but in a good way lol Ordered one but really don't think it'll work with me I need the work's a police siren would maybe wake me otherwise I sleep like the dead lol Anwyay great price so fingers crossed it'll work thanx

I'm all for this one...ANY sunshine in Scotland is a hot deal!!!!

Hot..

I'm a bit skeptical about this. With your eyes closed this dim light must be barely noticeable, if at all.

Ordered one thanks! Voted HOT. Hope it works like one of those SAD lights as my other half half has been wanting one of those for ages!

Cheers

Nice deal, but it won't. 15 LEDs will produce only a tiny fraction of the light emitted by a proper SAD light.

cheers guys, my beau hates my early alarm clock but I have to get up much earlier than him, hopefully this works!

bought one of these about a month ago, think it was £12 if you spent £20 overall.
quite frankly its cheap and nasty feeling and the light is pretty much pathetic - its really not a proper SAD light, it just doesn't get bright enough - we gave it a weeks trial and it failed to wake me up once using just the light. The good thing with avon is their returns policy meant that we received a full refund - the avon rep said she was wondering when we would return it as every one she had sold had been returned because they don't do what they say they do - she even returned hers just a few days after buying - by all means give it a go, at this price it may seem tempting but only as long as you consider it a cheap alarm clock with a light - as this is all it is.

Voted hot!!

thx

Reminds me of a stag night in Amsterdam

there's a reason why this is £40 cheaper than a proper one like the philips model.......
its tat, 15 leds hahahaha!

If you nclude quidco it works out at £7.44 delivered. I got one for my son for a little stocking filler. It has an alarm on it aswell as the light so I think it looks quite good for the price you pay.

We have a phillips one - given to us by some friends that emigrated. That is **** too.

I've bought one: £9, free delivery! I just signed up to Quidco so I'm not sure if I've processed it correctly to engage the Quidco benefit.

In any case, due to its ugly features it will be brought out at night and hidden during the day. Actually, come to think of it, it's ironic that I won't have it seen in the daylight considering that's exactly what it creates itself.

does this badboy run off a wired power connection too? or only batteries?

The proper Lumie ones are more like £60, so this has got to be worth a go.

We use our Lumie to get our 3 year old to wake up when we want him to. He calls it the sunshine clock, and he knows that if the sunshine clock isn't on then it's still night time and he should go back asleep. After the first 18 months of his life not sleeping much at all, it works a treat for us.
If this does the same trick of gradually coming on over half an hour, then it's worth getting for any parents that are struggling to keep their kids in bed. It's much better than the timer plugs that just "click" the light on at full.

This is nothing like the the proper Lumie lights! This is basically a novelty item. If you want a real SAD lamp to wake you up then it has to be Lumie.

no wonder they just gave it to you then lol

Just my 2p worth, I've a Lumie SAD light (dads happy light lol) which changed my life for the better, if you feel down in the winter and get ratty around october and march then you deffo need a proper SAD light. (I did look into DIY lights but was actually cheaper, and a lot nicer, to buy a proper Lumie)

still I'm getting a couple of these, they are not replacements for SAD lights, but to make waking that much nicer and quicker
