depending on each persons needs but at the sub £800 area you have a lot of choice. their is plenty of sales on and old stock of 2016 bikes in the sales.
If you call the shop they can advise on sizing. Sorry for late reply, somehow missed the message
Stupid question probably, but I can't see any info about sizing. Says available in small, at 5.7 ft would that be too small?
Just checked there and they have a 52cm shop soiled Mekk AL 2.6 105 for £500 ,if close by might be worth a look? http://www.wiggle.co.uk/mekk-pinerolo-al-26-105-2015-shop-soiled/
Bought one from Wheelies for £329, but even for 30 quid more it's a bargain. Like for like spec you won't find a bike anywhere for much less than £500!
Because people usually swap them for their own
Use code XMAS20 to get this for £319.20 which is a steal I think!
mine was in my house, someone broke in whilst I was sleeping and took it.
I have been searching for good locks and ways to secure a bike online today. I think that I will go with Kryptonite Evolution Mini-7. They also offer some theft protection.
ah, can't wait to get mine...my last bike was stolen 2 months ago and haven't been on a ride since.
I meant got= purchased :-P My delivery is scheduled for Wednesday, so you will have your bike before me ..
Is £399 now.
It would be a wise investment
Would this be over the top for family weekend bike rides?
Tiagra groupset, carbon fork, good brand. Can't go wrong really. Fantastic deal for a road bike, you won't get better!
The Tiagra groupset makes this a no brainer
Reduced to £999, Now only £899.10 with code SAVE10.
How do I get into mountain biking as a road cyclist?
LOL, a grand for a 'entry level' bike. Elitist bike snobs will be reach-round jerking each other off no doubt.
They have now dropped their price to £1000 making it an ideal candidate for C2W scheme! Evans (It was £1250 with them yesterday)
Btw Evans will price match of they have it online
That's for the 2011 model, deal is for 2012 model
nice bike, its £379.99 at http://www.paulscycles.co.uk/ now though
You really need to sit on, and try if possible, a bike before you buy it. "fit" is very subjective.
Meduim should do you fine. 18" frame or the nearest to that.
How do you calculate what size off frame to get, I am 5 "10" ?
Mongoose, GT, Schwinn, and Cannondale are all owned by the same company....but to say this is a re-badged GT is just not the case....GT are better bikes with a unique design frame.
Mongoose are owned and made by GT so you are basically getting a rebadged budget GT starter bike, hence why i am still so happy with mine after 2 years!
Good luck finding hydraulics at this price. The best I can find is http://www.sunsetmtb.co.uk/shop/index.php?product_id=1839&category_id=145 at £314.10 but that's nearly £70 more.
Though mechanical disks are pretty rubbish at least they'll stop you in the wet. Changing to hydraulics is a relatively easy upgrade should someone choose to in the future
Mechanical disk brakes are usually crap. Would be best to either get one with V-brakes or Hydraulic disk brakes.
