The games take up 0.0057% of the disc

this seems extortion to me?

Hmm, i would buy this if it came with a classic controller. It does not. Pah, i'd rather buy the games from Nintendo store, or even better play emulated and upscaled on a PC at 1080p

Aren't these available to download with wii points? Perhaps someone more familiar with it would know what the equivalent price is doing it that way?

awesome deal

this makes an easy gift but £10 sounds more like a reasonable price. It does say it contains music so that's good.

Super Mario Bros 1, 2 and 3 are 500 points each so about £11 total? That's not including The Lost Levels and it's the original versions rather than the SNES versions. But yeah, it's still a big rip-off if you've known the games your whole life and probably have them on NES or SNES, or GBA etc etc
Also, these are probably still the bordered, slowed down UK versions of the game, whereas emulating would be full screen, full speed...

Unlike the Snes version of All Stars that many may have played on, bear in mind this doesnt contain Super Mario World for some reason. Seems very strange why they kept this out, cant be due to lack of disc space!!

I played mario to death when it first came out...loved it.
I want him to share that same joy

They're leaving that for Super Mario All-Stars Part 2 Still Living Off Past Glories Edition for £25 including Yoshi's Island, Donkey Kong and Mario Bros.

It's really annoying. Super Mario World being included would make me snap this up. I know it's only a few quid on the virtual shop but that's not the point. If it's supposed to be a 2D Super Mario All-Stars, they shouldn't be missing out the best one!

this is going to disappear.
youll never see this again after xmas,
i remeber the zelda packs for the game cube picking up £45
got mine on route, cheers opp,

Nintendo are a joke as of late. They could have done more. This simply does not have the impact like the SNES did back in the day with enhancements and stuff.

lack of disc space?!?

wii disc size:
4.7GB or 8.5GB.

size or mario allstars; 1.3MB according to some website and thats with mario world too..
still. not due to lack of disc space! could fit a few thousand copies of it on the same disc!

The original All Stars game did not have SMW in it. The title itself is different on the later release.

I guess one thing you can guarantee with this, if you're in the business of buying and selling collectors items, chances are if you leave this still sealed, it'll be worth a whole lot more in 10-20 years.

Pretty crap SMW isnt included though.

£13.85 if you use the 6 quid off from ShopTo, worth a punt.

You couldn't buy the Zelda disc separately.

Zelda 1, 2, OOT and Majora is much better than a percentage of SNES Mario All Stars.

To iterate what has already been mentioned: Super Mario All Stars does NOT include Super Mario World. Thus, this pack does not include Super Mario World.

Amazing deal. For those who dont buy now, you will be greatly disappointed when they stop selling.

The exact size of the games is 16MB as i have it on Wii and yes thay have missed out Super Mario World which they released with Super Mario Allstars on the same cart back in the day, a shocking omission quite frankly.

There were two cartridges, one with just All-Stars and another had that and Super Mario World, why are people struggling with this?

Super Mario 3 is one of my favourite games of all time so hot from me!

I'm not sure why this has got so 'Hot' It's just the price you'd expect to pay for what it is.
Is it hot because people like Mario?

oh dear oO

Good deal.

After all, it is aimed at Mario fans - if you are one, you'll want to own this.

Not every one connect there Will to be able to download it either.

I think there is good value to be had in the booklet and music - the whole package makes it a good buy IMO - if you are a fan.

Surely it's better value the the latest warfare shoot em up or Fifa game that you trade in after a few weeks....this will be something you enjoy owning for years...and you'll probably watch it's value grow by the day, where as your other games will just lose value by the day!

fair enough but they still could have put it in and called it that as well then.

This is a bonkers price but I can see the appeal. Glad I still have them all on cartridge (and emulated on pretty much every system I own).

The omission of Mario World is absurd (and purely financial) considering it appeared on the later versions of All Stars on the Snes. Most people won't even bother with Mario 2 or the Lost Lands which makes it even more amusing.

i bought a Famicom Disk System a few years ago to play the proper SMB2, not the fancy graphics SNES version. infact that is who disk kun my avatar is. loooove old school mario, and im interested in the book it comes with if anyone has a link

You can play all the games on this compilation on the Wii Remote but Super Mario World and anything after would need a Classic Controller, so that might be one explanation as to the absence.

SMB3 is the best anyway. You don't need anything else!

If we are celebrating 25 years since the NES version of Mario then why are we having a SNES re-release. Come on Nintendo you money leeching toe rags, do a new Mario pack. Everything up to Sunshine would be nice :0

You also get a collectors booklet & sountrack cd in the pack as well so it is definitely worth the price.

Or, go to the game collection, order two 2000 pt cards for 9.99 each. Then buy Mario 1-3 (500pts each) for 1500 pts total, and add this lost levels game for (I think) 600 and still have points left over to buy the best ones: SMW (800) and Mario 64 (1000).

SMB 500
SMB2 500
SMB3 500
Lost Levels 600 (I think)
SMW 800
SM64 1000
______________
3900pts

There's your All-stars.
