Nintendo video game perennials Mario and Luigi come to life as plumbers who are thrust into a parallel dimension peopled by the descendents of dinosaurs. It seems that the meteor that hit the earth 65 million years ago (in Brooklyn, no less) didn't kill the dinosaurs, but hurled them into a world in which they have developed into a species of intelligent humanoids. And it is up to the Mario brothers to save Princess Daisy, and life as we know it, from the megalomaniacal Koopa, who wants to merge the two dimensions and rule the world that will result.

Wow..... this movie is almost unreal.

I love this movie, don't care what anyone else says

whos seeing Roxette in london then?

haha! Brilliant film!

Never really figured out what this had to do with the games, other than the leading characters name and occupation.

Should be cheaper than this.

expensive cup coaster

Bob hoskins had this to say..."The worst thing I ever did? Super Mario Brothers. It was a ****' nightmare. The whole experience was a nightmare. It had a husband-and-wife team directing, whose arrogance had been mistaken for talent. After so many weeks their own agent told them to get off the set! ****' nightmare. ****' idiots."

I remember going the pictures to watch this years ago. I was such a cool child.

Ha ha, me too, what was I thinking!

I saw it in liecester square!.. Even as a not very discerning child I remember thinking it was bad!.. Almost tempted to watch it now to see just how bad it is!..

bad bad bad

How come this is never on the telly? My kids would like to see it, but you hardly ever see it in the shops. I have heard it is really, really bad though so they will have to wait till it's in Poundland.

Bought this for my son who was / is a huge Mario fan. Even he has never watched it after the first play, which says a lot about the film.
I'm sure I paid no more than this for it years ago.

Watching it now on YouTube, I have changed my mind, it is awesome!..

I love this movie, yes it's rubbish, with nothing to do with the games, but I'll be damned if I didn't enjoy it when it came out and I'll be damned if I didn't enjoy when I saw it just a few short years ago.

But do I really want to buy it, though?

would rather go into the garden and eat spotty mushrooms than watch this utter dire film again

"open the door, get on the floor, everybody walk the dinosaur"

did have a crush on the woman playing princess toadstool if i recall
