It's not often I'd suggest paying more, but pre-ordering from Game is better value. £54.99 and you get the steelbook, stylus and pencil and pad set. They are easily worth the £6.14 in my opinion.
Does anyone know if that stupid red label is actually part of the cover on the so called 'limited edition' version?

I presume it is, which is why I pre-ordered the standard edition and managed to nab a copy for £32 when ebay had their 15% off deal just in case.

That is madness... Who in their right mind would think that anyone would want that on the front cover of the game?

Who knows what goes on in the corporate minds of Nintendo!

To be fair though, there is normally sellers selling game sleeves a couple of weeks after release for under a tenner so if it bothers you that much then that might be your best bet.

I would want that information displayed clearly on the front of the box if I was browsing through the games selection at a retailer. I can see that it is £10 different to the normal version but if that wasn't emblazoned across the front I might miss out on this good deal.

The box is made to sell the game and is not created to be admired. Are you really going to look at the box everyday until you sell it? Probably not and therfore it being there is irrelevant.

Based on your opinion they may as well go for the 'Tesco everyday value' style approach...

I'm confused at what you're trying to get across... I'm just comparing the deal listed to the Game bundle equivalent, which costs slightly more but includes a bunch of extra stuff.

how are you confused, you have to pay more for the limited edition but it comes with 12 months of nintendo online which is a service so garbage that not a single person likes it and you can get 12 months for free with twitch prime anyway, then you have to spend another 7 pounds for some paper clips and plastics and you also have to give money to game which dont even let you pre order games with your gift card, cold af

As much as I agree with you about how rubbish the Nintendo online service is, it is almost a must have to get the most out of Mario Maker 2. However none of what you say is relevant to me just comparing this deal (which includes the Nintendo online), to the Game deal (which also includes the Nintendo online). I was just saying that 'in my opinion' you're better off paying the extra £7 for the steelbook, stylus (which will be very handy for Mario Maker 2) and the pad and pencil set. This is just my opinion and others will disagree, however I'm just listing the option for people actually interested in the game.

Definitely a part of the cover - the cover is actually different, with the text a bit smaller and the image shoved down a bit.
To just download and play levels on your own do you need the Nintendo online pass for this?

Yes you do
Thanks for this. Missed a few similar offers recently because of my own hesitation but bought this time. Cover is a bit rubbish but going to sit in a drawer and will only be a tiny issue if I decide to sell. Which I almost never get round to doing
