Pre-order, Due for release on 28 June 2019. Base takes money on dispatch.

"Super Mario Maker 2 is heading to Nintendo Switch in June 2019, and it appears to include enough new tools and systems to rank as a bona fide sequel, if not at least a serious "deluxe" edition. The revealed footage sticks primarily to the four games that the original build-your-own-platformer game supported (SMB1, SMB3, SMW, NSMB), but it adds tools like auto-scrolling paths, clear tubes, piranha plant pathing, more platforms, and the cat-suit power-up. - ARS Technica"

Young lad is super excited for this. I however, won't be paying £40 for it. He has it on the Nintendo Switch U for heavens sake

Bit of a let down to be honest, when I heard it had Mario 3D World assets I'd thought there was a 3D creator but no, same old 2D/2.5D with more stuff
Amazing deal but looking for code, not physical. Thanks for posting!

I have this on the Wii U also, picked it up for £10, sorted. lol
Not impressed Nintendo! Why would you not port over the original one first!!

Joking - This game looks awesome - good find!

It's more of a port with dlc essentially
Wanted the Wii U version but felt I wouldn't have the time to devote to it.

I reckon this is another Switch game where portability will be a key advantage over the previous version. Far easier for a lot of people (myself included) to create a level in little 10/15min bursts here and there throughout the day. And of course perfect for playing user levels too.

The Switch's larger, more sensitive touchscreen should also help.
Hopefully there will be another limited edition amiibo version like last time.
My main issue with this is that downloading and uploading of levels will most likely be locked behind NSO, which I refuse to pay for in it's current state.

Like Super smash bros was a port “essentially” according to internet people... even though clearly it wasn’t.

The same argument could be had with any sequel.

Nintendo would say if it’s a port - like they have done with the re-releases - this is a sequel.

Like all Mario platformers it will look and feel similar
Heated. Want this digital tho.
remember when the wii u version was like 30 and came with an artbook

You do realise I know it's a sequel, I was basically saying it was a port since they didn't add much

C'mon guys none of you have this on Wii U and it's clearly not a port.

I'm positive they'll add a ton of new stuff they haven't shown yet.

You’ve seen one trailer and know they didn’t add much to the full game? At least wait until near release before making comments like that.

Heat added Mixmixi. Just got my preorder in.

God I wasn't saying it was gonna be bad at all, and the trailer is supposed to sell the buyer...

I didn’t say that you did say it was going to be bad. I said you cannot make claims to know the content of a whole game from a single trailer.

Most games have multiple trailers so if this single one didn’t sell it, then you have the option to wait for further trailers/previews/reviews or skip it. Your choice. Doesn’t mean it’s ok to spread made up opinions that it’s the first game + dlc like it is fact though...
I see that the Nintendo Defense Force are out in full force today. Got to hand it to them... Always ready to perform the mental gymnastics. Commendable really... Especially as they have a reputation for being known as Nintendards. But I guess even a broken clock is correct twice a day.

Heat in the meantime Mixi... More for the effort though, as opposed to the "deal" itself.

Heat for the price. I'll be getting it digital for very little. Got £30 eShop credit, and due a £15 Argos gift card soon from something I entered which I'll be using to get £15 Nintendo eShop credit for free!
Will finally get a Switch for this game. Mario Maker is my favourite Wii U game and the trailer showed off an unreal amount of new content.
I wish this was £40 digitally, I like most of my 1st party ninty games on cartidge but I'll be on this so much that it makes sense to have it there without faffing about.

They've added a lot, and that's just from the direct.

Its a definitely a sequel.

Not really.

If people say it's a port, that's incorrect.

Nothing to do with defending nintendo.

I know it's a sequel, but from the trailer alone It's basically a dlc I'm just gonna wait for gameplay in the future, I enjoyed the first game mind
Anyone here can comment on how reliable Base are? They seem to have a lot of pre-order games for super cheap, example Crash Nitro Fuelled is only £28!
Also, I'd like to add that it's unfair to say this new game is just basically DLC to the first. That minute and a half trailer revealed a ton of new stuff!

Scrolling levels, new enemies, slopes, new editing system, new power ups, new material types, water levels AND LUIGI!

It's clear from this first trailer that you can make far advanced creations in this game that simply was not possible in the first. Not DLC, looks like a worthy sequal.

I wish I'd played it more on Wii U tbh but the way my stuff is set up if I played on it I had to change Hdmi constantly. I still have New Super Mario Bros U to play so no point buying that on Switch and I need to confess I've never played 3D World, I will do though.

Dealt with them many times and they're always the cheapest with fast delivery, not much more I could ask for from their services.
Man they've really gutted the Wii U exclusives haven't they? Makes sense in a way cos many people didn't get to play them.

They're perfect, I've ordered with them plenty of times and they're consistently the cheapest, and the games always arrive bang on time. Great company

There is surprisingly a lot added to this game.

Here is a list of additions what people have picked up on from the video alone.
