This page has all the bluetooth adapters that Dealextreme sell.:-D
Enjoy.

Good price, hot.

I got one of these, & didn't need the CD.

It just worked straight out of the box, on Windows XP.

this is the one I got comes with toshiba driver if you want to use it and supports nealry evry bluetooh protocol out there - bit more but worth it.

I got two of these the last time, they worked straight from the box on XP without installing drivers.
The problem I had was delivery, it took several weeks.

ordered mine 10 days ago, still waiting for delivery, did receive an email from them saying delivery is delayed

With deal extreme I always leave a month for delivery as its coming from China, but I usually find its here within 2 weeks, its great if your not in a hurry.

Looks good, might order one

Got the girlfriend one of these. Pretty good little device for laptops as you can leave it plugged in all the time without worrying about snapping it or the usb port. deal extreme can take a while to deliver but never had a problem with them. Would recommend this item

Oh you don't need driver cd for vista but i would recommend latest version of bluesoleil if you google it.

i just had this delivered didn't need a cd on vista

Anyone know if I can use these for connecting a headset to PC to record voice?

i have one, but its range is below 1.5m. 1m more likely. pretty good for old laptops

you can connect up to 11 bluetooth things with it on to your pc. ive already done keyboard, mouse and a pair of headphones. sometimes a mobile.

about voice recording: it can be done, you will have to set your recordin program to record from bluetooth.

thanks, are v2.1 BTs much better?

I ordered one of these last week........ arrived within 7 days..... works a treat although there is no way the range is 100m

Purchased one, just what I was looking for thanks. I see that it comes from the US will it be okay.

Comes from Hong Kong not US.

Thats the same question i wanted to ask anyone out there know?

Anyone try it on a mac which doesn't have bluetooth?
Wondering if it works.

I'd pay the £3 difference and get this:

play.com/Mob…tml

At least you'd have it delivered in a reasonable time, and if there are problems you dont need to send it back to the US

The one I have linked to says it is compatible with a MAC I only have a PC so can't confirm this however.

I ordered a card for my DS from them last week and it came within 4 days I think.

Was rather impressed ;o)

Yeah, works without cd no probs!

Bluetooth is very handy for file transfers but pretty bloody awful for sound quality in a skype/voip/chat scenario.

Range (with direct line of sight) might be around 20~30 feet at best - at least using audio that is

Dealextreme won't ask you to send it back, they will most likely just send a replacement. I've had something faulty from them, they sent a new one and just said do what you wan't with the faulty one.

Probably won't work. Macs only have inbuilt support for specific bluetooth chips. I bought three different bluetooth dongles - one from Qfonic which refused to work on anything and two from Dealextreme:

]This one works with Linux on my eeePC It seems to work on my Mac, but you could not turn it off in the menu (on/off greyed out) and it refuses to connect to devices, the pairing process just goes on and on.

]This one works with Macs. Fully supported, all functions and menu items. Nowt greyed out. System Profiler says that the manufacturer is Cambridge Silicon Radio, firmware version 3.1958. This is the same manufacturer as the bluetooth in my Sony bluetooth headphones and Nokia W810 phone, so it should be fairly easy to get hold of.

does this support a2dp?

alchemistkevin;3318924

does this support a2dp?

It says it supports voice calling on the box, so I would assume so. It's bluetooth 2.0 anyway, so you could probably add A2DP if it didn't have it.

edit: DOH question answered above :$

Do you mean it isn't vista "compatible" or just that you have not figured out how to use it?

Depending on the BT software, these devices can be a bit difficult to use - i.e. not particularly user friendly.

I've used 3 types of BT connection the first 2 were BT dongles and ran the Bluesoleil software and were not particularly easy to use by any stretch of the imagination - in fact - IMNSHO - it was more hassle that it was worth....but perhaps I was doing something wrong?

My current BT service is built into my Dell 9300 laptop and the software is far superior - I'm still far from impressed with Bluetooth...:x

I've tried cheap and expensive dongles and in my experience there isn't enough difference in real world performance to pay more than the minimum price at the end of the day....

Bought one of these last friday (24th October)... yet to arrive... however best to allow dealextreme 2 weeks to deliver.

Ive bought this Bluetooth dongle. Installed it all fine . Got my phone, which is XDA orbit and was able to send pictures from the phone to the PC. But I am unable to work the other way round. There seems to be no way way of sending out from the PC as you would expect.

Any help would be appreciated.

Can anyone confirm if this works with vista without the drivers?

I see a few people have mentioned it but some say it does and some say it doesn't.

I don't really want use the driver cd as i've heard bad things about the supplied software etc.

Thanks in advance
