Best prices I could find for now (lower than Amazon, Shopto and others).
More to be revealed about the game at Tuesday's E3 showing. Regular updates from Mr. Sakurai over on Miiverse too. Release date - Winter 2014.
Going to be compatible with most Nintendo controllers - even the Gamecube one, via the use of a recently announced adapter.

In Super Smash Bros. multiplayer games, characters from all Nintendo universes meet up in Nintendo locales to duke it out. Bring together any combination of characters and revel in the ensuring chaos that we have come to associate with the game.

An action-packed fighting game, Super Smash Bros. features a ridiculous number of characters that have appeared on Nintendo platforms, from Mario to Link to Pikachu to the Wii Fit Trainer! As they square off in famous locales drawn from the rich history of Nintendo, literally anything can happen in Super Smash Bros. - and usually does. With limitless customising options, items and weapons that boggle the mind and a wealth of modes, Super Smash Bros. has truly infinite replayability.

X) Used to it by now, the voting barely makes sense any more - so inconsistent. Best prices for now for anyone who wants to pre-order = hot (for me at least)

not low enough to even consider this yet

Tbh I tend to limit myself to £35 for Wii U and £30 for 3DS and try and use some vouchers or Flubit with Amazon listings.
Got too many games to try and complete, and now MK8, which will probably take up most of my time this year, so I'll give this a miss for now too.
This may interest other people though.

I just tend to think most ppls circumstances, desires etc. can vary quite a bit and consider the best current price on something to be a deal. E.g. someone may want to preorder this game now - this is the best price/deal for them = hot deal!
Some might not agree but that's how I see it anyway.

honestly i'm still trying to find Pikmin 3 or zelda wind waker hd for £20.
if anyone finds a good price and could let me know, that would be great!

other than the MK8 free game promotion, this game is the only other reason i bought a Wii U.
but i'll wait until it's closer to the time to preorder, hopefully amazon or game have a good preorder price. maybe a preorder bonus too.

Pikmin 3 can be had for around £25 -
Currys

Zelda WW has been holding it's price quite well around £30. Could try Flubit with an Amazon listing to get a decent price/discount. Which free game did you choose as part of the MK8 promotion?

i haven't picked a free game yet, pikmin and zelda are the 2 that i'm interested in, but i was waiting to see if i could get Pikmin 3 for £20 as it's been that low before. get the more expensive one free. makes sense right.

Sure does
Out of the selection, the best games are Zelda WW, Pikmin 3 & Wonderful 101.
Monster Hunter 3 will interest fans too.
Sonic Lost World may do too.
The others just aren't worth it unless you've already owned/played them and they can be grabbed for low prices.
Atm, Wonderful 101 can be had for £20 on eBay Argos outlet.
Pikmin 3 was previously the same price, same seller.
Never seen Zelda WW below £24.97 (Currys & PC World).
I went for Zelda as I already had the other 2 games downloaded via a previous deal.
Another thing to consider might be the download size.
Wonderful 101 is quite substantial at 10gb (so you might prefer a physical copy) whereas the others are much smaller - around/below 2gb I think.
Hope that helps.

well the MK8 promotion lasts until near the end of the month, so i'll wait maybe another week to see if pikmin goes any lower in price.
if not i'll just buy it and download zelda.

Cool, good luck.

So will this have some element of cross play?

I picked up a download code for Zelda WW HD from ebay for £19.99, but I guess that can be a bit of a risk.

i have been looking at ebay, but so far all i've seen is download codes for £24 and a physical copy for £25, if i was going to buy it on ebay i'd rather get a physical copy.

I think Sakurai said in the Direct a few months back that they're not going to have any crossplay anymore, which sucks.

Will hold out for The Game Collection price. VERY impressed with them at the moment

That does indeed suck.
