Wii so horny

time to dust off the GameCube and smash melee

I think that's really expensive

The deal is awesome, The adapter AND a controller for an extra £20? DEAL!

Meh

£60 is a good price for the game & controller & adapter set. not in a rush to pre-order personally, it doesn't even have a release date yet.

Oooohhhh, like the look of this deal! Normally don't like the idea of spending £40+ on games, but the bundled gc controller and adapter, I'm getting giddy about it for some odd reason...

Surely a troll post

This seems to be a different offer as the game list is different and it is only one game you select. How does this work as list is the same I think now but when I click trade 2 save £40 it has a list of games that have not been released yet. How do I add two games from the list?

I thought Shrek was gonna be in it for a second haha

nope £40 game £15 controller specialized adapter to simulate GameCube control seems reasonable for one of the best controllers ever made.

It's not really explained clearly on the site. The page you are referring to is the game you want to purchase. Once you pre-order, you receive a trade package envelope which you then send them 2 games from the list Found Here

You could buy NINJA GAIDEN 3 and GAME & WARIO for around £20 from a couple of sites i.e The Game Collection, saving you £20 with the £40 off

this trade in deal is great

games like Dragon Crown and PErsona 4 didn't even cost me anywhere near £20 when i bought them

So by preordering smash bros I will receive the envelope and not have to pay £1 for it or do I need to buy one from them? I was planning to get batman for £9.99 and persona 4 for £8.40. Also I have tried with 3 emails to register but I have not gotten confirmation email with any of them to finish making my account.

Heat added but I'm waiting for a SSB+adaptor bundle. I already have enough Gamecube controllers and don't wish to own one of these new clones with that naff-looking symbol on the front.

Fantastic deal. I forgot to add the trade in envelope to my order though, so have contacted customer services to add it for me!

Am I the only one who's not looking forward to going back to wired controllers again? Too many tangled cables. Does this new adapter support the WaveBird controller? Might be worth grabbing some on eBay before release...

This is tempting. £40 for the game? £20 for controller and then another £20 for adapter if all bought separately?
But I do like the normal wii controllers anyway so not sure i NEED the gamecube controller.

Agree...hate wired and it means I'll have to sit on the floor as the cable wont reach the 3.5 metres to my sofa

Not if you have a couple of Wavebirds lying around like me. (_;)

Wii u Pro may be a decent option for those not wanting wired.

Does this include the adapter for the controller or not? Can't see anywhere that it states it does, but might be blind

I'm buying this, even without trading anything in.

been waiting for a reasonable Smash Bros. Pre-order. Deffo jumping on this, and the next half decent 3DS pre-order deal too!
(maybe even get TWO copies of the 3DS so my younger bro can play it too!)

Surely they could have made a wireless controller for wii u :-/

A shame the adapter doesn't work like this , eg plug into wii controller to make it wireless

Voted hot as £20 seems a fair price for the controller and adaptor.

Personally I'm waiting for a deal where there's a free Amiibo. Surely there'll be one!

*Warning* Nowhere does it mention that this bundle comes with the adapter and that image is not even taken from the gamestop website. I believe this bundle to only contain the game and cube controller and as such is more expensive than the same bundle at ShopTo (£52.85).

This deal is only good if you want to trade in the games, otherwise you're better off at ShopTo

EDIT: Then again the US bundle comes with an adapter so ours should be the same. Maybe NoE will make an official announcement in a few weeks to clarify.

Bought Persona 4 Arena (360) and Beyblade Evolution (3DS) for £15 combined and will use them to trade in effectively this then costs me just £35 for the game, controller and adapter! Less than the price the game is selling alone!

Wired gamepad makes you feel too restricted now we have been spoilt with wireless.

I got a GameCube pad to play GC monkey ball on wii ages ago, great pad.

Darren.

You are quite right, however the bundle on the US site is $99.99 and the bundle here is £59.97. The exchange rate from Dollars to Pounds is 0.6 so $100 equates to £60, so as were paying the same, hopefully it means its the same contents

Shares his opinion that disagrees with your own = troll?

yep, the wii u pro controller

Does anybody know when Gamestop takes payment? Is it automatically taken when you order or do they hold off until shipping like Amazon?

Anyone know if the wave-bird controller (IMHO the best controller ever made) will work with the adapter?
