2793483.jpg(Unfortunately Amazon don't have a size diagram for the 8", only the 10", which Amazon don't seem to stock at the moment!), but here's one from a Youtube Polish reviewer (to give you an idea how big the 8"/20cm ball is):
2793483.jpgI have yet to try one, but I'm hoping this will be a hit with doggle who is a strong lad and very rough with his toys/play balls.

Designed for those larger-than-life characters who love to chase and conquer. Made from tough polyethylene means that most dogs can’t puncture the ball or rip it to shreds.

It is designed not to be picked up by the dog, so should be a size bigger than the dog can carry.

Perfect for dogs who love to herd and push ball around with their nose!

The Boomer Ball is the ultimate tough toy and ideal for those ball-obsessed toy destroyers!
This incredibly tough ball is made from polyethylene and means that most dogs can't puncture the ball or rip it to shreds!
One of the toughest toys on the market, the Boomer Ball is great for outdoor use

Good for mental stimulation
The Boomer Ball is designed to keep dogs mentally stimulated for hours by using the dogs natural instinct to chase.

Tough and durable
The heavy-duty material chosen can withstand even the most determined dogs.

It even floats!
The lightweight, waterproof material makes this the ideal toy for dogs that love water.

Why choose the Boomer Ball?

  • Virtually indestructible

4" 0.11kg Bichon Frise/Jack Russell
6" 0.23kg Border Collie/Visla
8" 0.49kg Bernese MD/Labrador
10" 0.89kg Bull Mastiff/Rottweiler

Edit: Some reviewers mention that much bigger Boomer Balls (20" - some sites call this size a "Jungle Ball") are used by animals in captivity, which is a pretty good recommendation!

Also, other comments suggest these balls are best used under supervision, as being so hard, dogs can get a bit rough with them, or they get so excited they're quickly exhausted!

I got something similar for my Springer, a hard ball the same size and colour from Home Bargains for a couple of quid, its the only ball (or toy for that matter) that she hasn't managed to rip appart

Good tip, will have a peek in Home Bargains when I'm next at my mum's (don't visit HB that often)

I can see there are ebay Chinese listings for "Boomer Balls" but the Feedback I've looked up said they weren't the same.

My dog can finally destroy these, but it takes him months of pushing it around the garden and scratching away at it with his teeth. Once he finally gets a hole in it, its the beginning of the end.
But Boomer Balls are without doubt the longest lasting toy i give him. Anything else he destroys in no time, including 'Kong' toys. I even gave him an old motorcycle tyre to play with, and in a short while he had started ripping the steel out of it, so i had to take it off him and he had a right sulk over being deprived of it.

Heat for the Boomer Ball.

I did try a tough Home Bargains toy, just out of curiosity, but it lasted about 12 hours - see here - hotukdeals.com/com…319

I’ve had one of those, lasted less than 5 minutes with a Springer, the ball I meant was just a hard punk ball, it was the size of a size 1 football so not quite as big as the Boomers

Not sure I saw anything of that size, saw a red, tennis ball sized "tough ball", but will look next time I'm in

Well, doggle seems distinctly unimpressed with this toy so far...he seems to prefer the NERF squeaky rugby ball he was bought (not by me) from B&M (under a fiver), maybe because he can carry it around...maybe he might get more into the Boomer Ball when we take it outside.
