got this from wilkinson for a fiver minus the trolley when it was marked down s 75%off from £20.

Quality is pretty basic. All the items to be stacked on the shelves are just cardboard boxes that you put together. i would recommend stuffing the boxes with newspaper then sellotaping it all firm, otherwise they keep falling apart. Also, they till section sits on top of the 3 shelves - always falling apart so you need to use something like tape to hold it from coming apart. The shelves are clipped together with small plastic clips. all pretty low qulity. the clips always coming off, and without them the whole thing does not stand very well or for very long.

"moving conveyer belt" - what a claim. wait till you see it to realise why i am saying this. you could take it back to the shop on the basis of this alone. oh, and when you it saying needs 3 AA batteries, you get excited that it might be a till does does things. again, you will only realise how pathetic it is when you see it.

Just thoulght i'd let you all know. It was a decent activity with my kids putting it all together, but after a few days, it went to the charity shop.

Excellent for teaching children how to operate a checkout. My only concern is that by the time my little ones grow older, things will have moved on and the 'checkout' will simply sense all the goods in your trolley, then bill you. You've got to plan ahead somehow though.

Wish I'd seen Yoleic's comments before buying this. I completely agree with the comments made in their post. I assumed the batteries were needed for the scales and conveyor belt but as stated the batteries are only needed for the till. The thing falls apart if the kids push the trolly into it. My kids had more fun with a more durable smaller till from ELC although the trolly is still keeping my 2 yr old happy.

Thanks for this great deal! It was featured over on the HUKD blog ]Playpennies!
