A microchip cat flap for cats that have been chipped that will only allow your cats to come in. Better than the ones with the magnetic collars as then you don't run the risk of the cat losing the collar or getting chocked! Looks really good quality and set it up in less than 5 minutes! Very pleased so far.

Need to use the code "sale069" which will be valid for just a few more days (expires on the 31st of Jan). £3.04 tracked from quidco as well which brings this down to £57.65 which is an absolute bargain for these things.

Sorry to be naive.

Is this a bad deal? Other RFID cat flaps seem to cost much more, am I missing something?

Thanks, I've been looking for one of these cheapest I have seen is about £70 previous
Just tried and the code won't work though expired 25/1/10

I wanted one of these when I first got my cats but they were not availiable back then. I've given up completely on collars now and just leave my catflap on freeflow - my cats seem to be big enough to keep the other cats out these days

before I ditched the collars my cats were getting through about 1 collar a month each and obviously loosing the magnet at the same time.

edit - to answer your question - I don't think it's a bad deal I just think a lot of people will take one look at it and think ' £60 for a cat flap - are you nuts '

Can I put this on my daughter to stop her bringing home unwanted men at all times of the night??

(this might be a decent joke if I actually had a daughter)

Got one of these before Xmas (the last time it was reduced to this price). It's cheap for a smartchip catflap so HOT!

As posters above have noted the kind that rely on magnets are pretty useless if your cat keeps losing its collar. Add to that the neighbours' cats with magnets and in my case a neighbours cat who just forced his way through without a magnet.

Sureflap offered me a 30 day money-back guarantee if the neighbour's cat made it through - he didn't which made it £60 well spent.

Isn't there one in Netto for … Isn't there one in Netto for £49?http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/590210/cat-flap-with-collar-sensor-was-49-

I think that uses a sensor on the collar rather than a microchip in the cat.

heat from me! shame even at the discount price they are still so expensive!x

That's odd... The expiry is not meant to be until the 31st. There's another code 'sale100' that's £20 of £100 spend, if there are any other supplies you may need to buy as well... There's also 'save4' for £5 off an order of £59 or more...

These are no better than the magnet ones as any cat can still push through and break in!! i have a cat next door that spends most evenings getting in with me chucking him out and my male cat peeing everywhere inside !! great fun
Not sure about the price have seen them at £45 at my local trago mills newton abbot devon.

Would love to see this cat in action. There is a locking system that stops the cat from pushing its way through.

The new Mark 4 Sureflap uses a rotary lock.

Great price for this flap.

Are these any more robust than my magnetic cat flap?

There's one cat that can break in through the magnetic one in two different ways. Sometimes he just pushes really hard until it breaks open; other times, he manages to open the cat flap outwards like in this video: ]http//ww…FeE

whos next? you? I wouldn't wish this on any feline.

My neighbour's cat used both techniques on the magnet operated type. I emailed the manufacturers of both Sureflap and PetPorte to ask if they'd guarantee their products. Both replied explaining that there has to be some give in the catflap to prevent injury to a cat which forces it and gets stuck.

However Sureflap offered me a 30 day money back guarantee if the neighbour's cat made it through. He hasn't!

It doesn't have a soft bit for the cat to get his claws in and pull (this means it's not very well draft-proofed) and the shape of the catch seems to make forcing it much harder. I was a bit concerned that the flap stays unlocked for about 5 seconds after my cat has come in so he might be followed. But my cat knows when he's being chased and will turn around and hiss until the flap locks and the neighbour's cat leaves - I'm sure my cat thinks he's frightened him off!

I installed it almost 2 months ago and the neighbours cat hasn't been in since. Previously I tried locking the catflap for 2 weeks but as soon as I unlocked it he was straight in (how he knew I have no idea).
