Surface pro 4 m3 with type cover 15% off plus 10% cash back on top!

I know the new one is more than likely imminent but for a premium surface line product it's a pretty good deal.

It does work per product with or without keyboard but I feel the keyboard is a must to get the full experience so have linked to them so i5 with keyboard is £797.99 and i7 1397.99 plus 10% back on marked price.

I7: currys.co.uk/gbu…tml

Not for everyone but hopefully saves someone a bit of cash !

good device but the M3 processor is seriously underpowered, recommend getting the i5 one

Does anyone have any experience of the laptop trade-in offer they have there?

What realistically do you have to offer them to get the full £200?

Topcashback is offering 7.07% cashback on laptops over £450... so possibly some extra savings on this?

It's anything but "seriously underpowered". It's on par with a Intel Core i5-2410M with most tasks.

Only go with the i5/i7 if you actually know you need that power. The M3 is a fine processor for a lot of people.

waiting for i7 for below 800

the i5 2410 was released 5 years ago so it's still not powerful as a modern i5

Of course it isn't. But it's not "seriously underpowered". That's just nonsense.

If you want a modern CPU, then it's on par with the i3-5010U. Certainly capable. It's also incredibly power efficient, which is exactly what the m3 range is aimed at.

This isn't an old Atom. The m3 range are fine at what they aim to do.

We use Surfaces at work. The m3 has no issues with day to day tasks. Every office based application we use (Office, email, web, etc.), runs on them fine.
If you're doing something more powerful (Photoshop for example), then sure, move up the ladder. But the m3 isn't underpowered for what it sets out to do.

Good deal, BUT

Unless you will use the pen functionality a lot, save a bit and buy an ultrabook like the Asus UX305. Surface's are amazing but if you don't use the pen then buying an ultrabook will mean a better keyboard, cheaper price, better battery life. Most importantly, it will have more ram. The m3 surface only has 4GB which really isn't much for Windows 10 (ram is used for opening several applications/tabs at once).

As for the nonsense about the m3, ignore it. The m3 is really quite capable, it uses less power and he's the real advantage DOESN'T REQUIRE A FAN. So the surface/Asus ux305 with the m3 are completely silent, unlike the i5/i7 versions. For browsing, office tasks and movies etc this is more than enough. If you are photoshopping/video editing/gaming then yes you will need more grunt but you should already know that.

I did a ton of research before buying so feel free to ask any questions, and have actually used the products in question.
