Indeed but really glad they made the main memory upgradable using an easy access back panel.

I have had no issues with bsod or signal, but def feeling battery is a lot weaker than advised!! No real issue for me so far, as its not my main machine...
GOOD NEWS IS.. I this is my 3rd Surface, and they keep getting better! Its smooth, super fast and the screen is awesome!
I've just checked and eneba has been removed. Gamivo was never on there, eneba was 8.25% for more than a year, though. Gutted, because I buy from eneba all the time
However, try this discount code on the eneba website for 8% off your purchase - a9ioAKS
I see £50 gift card is down to £41.79 on eneba, though, which is a fantastic price, plus 8% off with that code. Still very much worth it
So, assuming the gift cards are £43, that brings the spend down to £688, that's £58 cashback on eneba, bring the final spend down to £630.
I did this for a couple of xbox consoles from the MS store. (edited)
It's not a TV dude
battey was too weak also

Surface Pro 8 Artist tests 120hz display for drawing, Jitter with Slim Pen 2 vs Alternatives, MORE - YouTube
I have the pro 8 and slim pen 2, I've had no issues with Adobe fresco or photoshop; from videos I've seen the wonky lines is down to the pen and not the surface, with the slim pen 2 fixing the issues.
Be aware that the SSD is 2230 format and you'll pay a premium (over standard 2280) there are loads on ebay but if you want new and therefore a warranty your choice is limited in the UK (edited)
Such a scam.
The screen is 100% SDR and has no HDR capacity. What it can do, sometimes, is run video through a process which fakes the look of Dolby Vision at the cost of high processor use and heavy fan noise.
I say sometimes because most apps like Disney Plus and Prime Video see that the hardware doesn't support HDR and so it isn't even available as an option.
Also, running it at 120hz burns through the battery in no time at all so it's not really a viable option unless you're using it corded.
Big disappointment from Microsoft.
Nothing to do with the hardware.
I have a pro 5 and works great when drawing curves or diagonal lines, also have a pro 7 and lines look all wonky when drawing curves or diagonal lines.
You can use it with an OLED screen if you want to? (it doesn't have nits)
Shame they don't do an even cheaper version with only 64GB though - It's always way cheaper and so easy to do the upgrade yourself (I went 512GB and it only took me 2 minutes) :-)

1 They don't explicitly state if it can be charged from USB-C or not. So I have to assume not, just like some other recent Microsoft tablets. Particularly as they refer to a charging port. Not all of us want to carry a big heavy power brick around or be tied into one brand of power supply, so this is immediately a deal breaker.
2 They don't show a photo of the power brick or as far as I can tell, show it's weight. (edited)
Yes, it can be charged via USB-C - any typical USB-C charger will do provided it has a reasonable wattage.
From the blurb:
"All Surface Pro 8 models come with two USB Type-C ports as a standard. The port supports USB4 and Thunderbolt 4 (with a speed up to 40Gbps or 5GB/s), display out, and charging. Both ports are located on the right side of the PC next to the Surface Connect port."
I don't see what the problem is - you can run it at lower refresh rates if you want to. (edited)

The very first line of your post. Now it's "you can run it at lower refresh rates".
And if a product promises Dolby Vision support then it should deliver it. Like the iPad does.
You were complaining about the great refresh rate, I was just pointing out the devices flexibility.
If you consider that an ipad provides the standard for dolby vision then you should probably get an ipad - I am not sure that a device from any other manufacturer will make you happy.
I have both. The Surface Pro 8 promised a professional grade screen but delivered a poorly calibrated SDR screen. If you're a creative professional and you need to produce work in a wide gamut then the Surface Pro 8 won't cut it, even though the advertising spiel (you pasted some of it above) makes it seem like it can. Conversely, the iPad Pro from 2018 has a fantastic screen, wide gamut and fully supports DCI-P3.
If that isn't important to you, then buy Surface.
With respect, this sounds like a spread of FUD
Yes, it would be great on this imo, especially if you like the touch and pen capabilities that it offers.
Nits is a measurement of how much light the screen sends to your eyes (luminance) within a given area, it mostly certainly does have nits.
"Other than that, Microsoft opted for a fair quality 3:2 IPS panel here with 450-nits of brightness, 1000:1 contrast, and ~100% sRGB color coverage."
13 inch, 2880 x 1920 px resolution (3:2 aspect ratio), up to 120 Hz refresh rate, IPS, touch, 450+ nits

I don't see Eneba or Gamivo on TCB. Are you sure? (edited)
have you got a link to the gift cards?
