Swan Popcake Maker - makes 12 popcakes, a few sticks included too

This wont be everyones cup of tea but I have been looking to get one of these machines so I can make some popcakes for my daughters birthday, was in my local tesco yesterday and saw one for a tenner. Cheapest I have seen one. Tried it out yesterday and it works really well, going to experiment this week with some different flavours. Might be good fun coming up to Christmas, kids will love to help make and decorate

it has

Cool touch handle
automatic temp control
indicator lights
fixed muffin plate
aluminium plate with non stick coating
easy to clean
stands up for space saving
non slip rubber feet

its a sponge cake ball on a stick covered in chocolate

This machine cooks them in 5 mins, I used a basic sponge mix and added flavours like lemon, chocolate etc. cooled them and then covered in melted chocolate (with butter or oil to make covering easier) I must have made 50 in an hr, really easy. This week I am going to try a brownie recipe to make them a bit more decedent

I took the ones I made into work today and they were all gone in a few seconds

what's a popcake please?

oooh I want to share :-) I have loads of ideas I want to try, my family will be eating popcakes for every meal for the foreseeable future

Here's an even better deal, save the full £10 by using the oven you already have! goodtoknow.co.uk/rec…pop There's lots of recipes online for ideas.

Just bought one, not sure if they would taste as good as the one where the sponge is crumbled and frosting or cream cheese such as philli is used to bind the sponge.

It is true you can make popcakes without this fantastic gadget but I thought it to be a bit messy, plus these come out perfectly shaped!
