very good had one for 3 years
In 1988 the Swan Brand was acquired by French manufacturers, Moulinex. Bulpitt and Sons (Swan Brand) Ltd was finally dissolved on 21st May 1989 - approximately 100 years after they were first established. However, Moulinex were also under the same pressure from cheaper imports. The company went bankrupt in 2001 with the Moulinex brand name being acquired by Tefal of France

Thank-you for replying!
Why so cold guys? Surely these type of steam irons will WHIZZ through creased clothes.
Maybe people are put off by the pressurized steam, it sounds dangerous, like a pressure cooker. I`m sure it`s not though, just a pity there aren`t any product reviews online.

added this to another thread for the same item, worth noting.

not the same company as it was in its heyday, not much on the tinternet about the new company, but seems its another licence agreement to use the name but may not be by such a big company as Moulinex and Braun Kitchen appliances and even Kenwood which are made by two of the big players in the market
