What are the white lights on the cameras? Are they always on at night time?

The camera turns the lights on & triggers recording when it detects heat. The 2-way audio & siren let you talk back & scare off intruders. It’s high tech security working for you!

Thanks HeyPats, did just catch that after reading the specs. As long as I can view footage on the phone and speak etc I'm happy. Very good deal
is it possible to upgrade the hd to 24tb or are the bays limited on these?

Crazy idea having light on AND a siren, will probably draw way too much attention, cctv system best and most useful when it’s low key in my experience

You have to choose what is best for you. A few years ago a silent alarm was likely best to give the police time to respond and maybe catch an intruder. However the police can't always respond due to resources and many forces have changed how they deal with alarms. I'd advocate an audible alarm that activates straight away, the intruders are aware and most will either leave instantly or be aware their time is limited. Regarding cctv I'm a bit undecided whether this led and siren system is good, or whether it is better silently recording the evidence. On balance probably the latter.

Overall overt security systems that look like they will work are better at detering most intruders and making them try elsewhere.

Re this system, seems a mixed bag of reviews on Amazon and a lot of folks put Swann down generally.

This is a fantastic deal. If the thermal sensors work well then this is much better than the standard motion sensors. I have reolink which are good, but the motion sensors are very sensitive due to anything that moves such as light changes, trees ect, setting the alarms off.
Sold out by the time I set up account.

No stock in Chester store.
I emailed them and they said they have sold out and won’t be getting it back in stock. Shame.
Similar thinf happened to philips tv a week ago and they got more stock but then that was it. Worth checking every day for a couple of days maybe?
What’s Swans security like these days, as in encryption? I remember a few years ago there was a leak that their IP cameras could very easily be hacked?
