8 channels for 2 years on 2TB drive?

Quality must be amazing like Casio calculator or Atari 800 on an old TV
4 cameras in the box?
It's absolutely not a professional security system I'm afraid.

hdmi out is 1080 only.
Viewing angle of cams - 64 deg!
30m night vision rated is laughable. You'll probably only have a half decent view of stuff happening within 5m, if you're lucky
Spec states: Recording resolutions - Upto 3MP - Avoid like the plague. This will almost certainly mean it is capable of recording just 1 channel at 3MP, but maybe only at 6fps? Who knows?! It will probably also mean that recording capability for say 4 cams might be only possible at 720p, again with highly reduced bit rates and highly reduced fps.

As already said, the recorded quality is going to be pretty awful if they are quoting 2 year capabilty of a 2TB HDD for 6 cams.

Here we go, this explains it better than I, tells you why you should run a mile if the product is very economical with spec details by just giving MegaPixels info:

And just what systems are worthwhile buys in your obviously professional opinion? Slagging a product off is made far more believable if you have an alternative to propose.

(Oh and by the way. A neighbour has a similar Swann system with 1080p cameras and that enabled another neighbour and the police to identify a car thief).
