Worthwhile investment, couple things to note though...

Just invested in a Belkin MIMO N1 wireless router and wanted to get my desktop set up wirelessly. I opted for the Sweex wireless-N adapter, and it's proven a great bargain compared to the "branded" adapters out there.

No range problems, I have a 20+ mbit Be connection averaging 12mbit in my area and the adapter easily handles long LARGE downloads at sustained speeds of over 1 megabyte per second (yes, megabyte) with no dropping out. Windows registers the speed in real-time between 54 and 250 Mbps but this thing does fly!

Only words of caution, ignore the Sweex download utility completely, let Windows recognise it and it's so simple to set up. Sometimes the adapter doesn't establish a wireless connection on starting up my PC, but a quick reboot solves this.

This ]one is cheaper and supports 300mbps

p.s. you'll need a wireless router that supports upto that speed which are quite expensive compared to the standard ones.

cold because it is expensive.that's it.
