I think that's a matter of opinion, I can't stand waze. I much prefer to just use Google maps.

I agree.
I use tomtom for work and Google maps for home. Pity there's no speed cameras on Google maps.

Ive been using Sygic for 5 or 6 years now and never had an issue with it. My last 4 cars have all had built in sat navs but couldn't hold a candle to Sygic.

p)Phone based apps ( free or paid) are fine for city driving or long distances. As unlike dedicated Sat Nav's which have built in GPS , phone based ones use the Internet. many times my phone signal has cut. Drains battery and in warm weather phone gets extremely hot on windscreen. Until smart phone providers incorporate a gps chop into their phoned I'll be sticking to my tom tom

This is unbelievably innacurate, almost every smart phone on the market has a built in gps chip now and you can use many fully offline Sat nav apps like co-pilot to navigate (as I have through Europe) without using any data at all.

Personally I paid up 3 years for TOMTOM - its IS the same app as on their premium device. ITa amazing

However, this is Sygic, uses TomTom Maps, and so, for £16 unlimited use... cant complain!

lol, I use Google maps, you can download huge chunks of maps and then data only gets used for traffic info. A lot of people don't realise you can download google maps, we always do it, including for holidays, you can use abroad with data turned off then

Your information is many years out of date, phones don't have GPS chips built in them? Hahahahahaha

Google maps for me everytime. Aside from data which is normally part of a mobile deal the maps offer...
Free usage, Free up to date maps, Free traffic updates
Whats not to like?

This was the only program that I found that allowed me to use the mirror capabilities of my android phone on my SPH-da120 headunit in my last car. I would have bought it at this price had I still had that, seemed good during the week trial tho.

I love Sygic and use it all the time.
If you buy a licence how easy is it to swap it from phone to phone if you change phones, and if you change OS from say IOS to Android, can you carry that over?
I run a slightly 'shared' version but it's a bit of a faff updating etc but would be quite happy to get this officially if it was portable between devices.

Driving a zillion miles a year, and my journeys being affected not by the route but by the TRAFFIC, TomTom is my go-to

However this is tomtom maps and includes traffic, for the cost of 1.5 years of tomtom, yet this is for LIFE

I don't get all the different versions. Whyb oils you pay more for a single country than the whole world?

Does traffic work well?

What about speed cameras?

Banned

Hmm. I had hoped some sygic users or haters may have responded to my questions.

I have downloaded to app and using the 7 day trial. The purchase options though are a little confusing still. I don't understand why you'd buy a country specific version for 5 times the price of a world version.

Also the in app purchases. I saw in the spiel that cockpit and HUD are included in the price of a world premium with traffic (£22.99) yet still shows as a paid add on. Is that right?

Lastly, is the augmented view worth it? Can't help thinking it's going to be hit or miss and let down by 4G signal.

What difference does that make? Who owns waze doesn't make any difference. I can't stand the GUI of waze. The Google maps interface for me is flawless
