Great little helicopter and now it's a bit cheaper than it has been posted before.

I got one earlier this week and I'm very impressed. Easy hover and flight. Charges very quickly from my Note II 2 amp charger.

Another big boys toy!

These were great fun last year but I'm over them now. 7 minutes battery life and the fact they can't be used to haul a drink over to someone limits them. Quadcopters are the way forward for drink delivery.:3

I wonder what would happen if you took four of these and merged them into one quadcopter. That would be cheap but would it give it any more lifting ability or ability to have bigger battery. hmmmm

I have to say that I bought this for my son at Christmas last year and it lasted 4 minutes and then snapped in half. My son is only 7 though...Hopefully that wouldn't happen to a teenager, for whom it is recommended. If you want this, it's a good price though so hot.

I got one smashed the rotors first time I used it when it hit the floor.

Brilliant little helicopter. A little sensitive to use at first but my 7 year old. Just wish the battery life was better. Does anyone know a model that a better battery?

I believe you can mod it with a bigger battery. Like I posted, use a 2 amp usb charger. Its about 20min charge time.

For those that managed to break their ones you might well have a fake. There are plenty out there which are known to be not so robust. So far I have crashed it into pretty much everything and there's not so much as a scratch on it.

A brilliant buy. 13 y.o. son got one last Christmas and still flies it most days. Stood up to quite a few accidental crashes without injury/damage (REALLY hurts if it flies into you mind). I bought spare rotors - but we haven't had to use them yet.

Voted hot - buy for Christmas - but do be aware, this isn't suitable for an under 12 in my view, it will break if deliberately flown into things full pelt.

My son has had a few of these models and also some other other brands.

Yes, they don't last forever, but they do last way longer in general than other brands we've tried, and seem to fly with more precision.

Very good value for the money and I will certainly buy SYMA again when his current one gets damaged!

Mine was awful. Wouldn't stay in the air. Wish I hadn't ordered.

Hmm, doesn't match our experience at all. Either yours was never fully charged, was faulty, or was a fake.

Purchased one of these for a 7 year old the other day. Haven't stopped playing with it. Crashed a few times and hasn't broken yet so seems pretty hardy.

Nice find voted hot

Had mine a few months now..after a few fairly minor bumps it's survived quite well.Compared to a few others it is easily the best of the bunch. It does as it is told unlike others which have a mind of their own !!

Got one of these last year and it's very robust.

Also you can mod it with bigger/more batteries, or if you strip off the braces for the tail boom to save weight, shift the skids forward to alter the centre of gravity (and possibly add a small weight in the nose) and flip the tail motor over so it points downwards, this thing will fly VERY fast and be a lot more responsive

Quadcopter will quadruple the price This thing is dirt cheap

But have you seen the price of quadcopters. The last one I saw that was considered good value was £400. 4x£13 makes for a pretty cheap machine that could potentially do a lot more for longer. Then again the motors here might be quite unsuitable, I don't know but I can't wait for a reasonably priced quadcopter that can carry things, like ooh say, a camera!

How about this one.....

Or if you look around Syma do the 107C which is the same helicopter with a mounted camera.

That looks like a lot of fun, great price too. I'm probably too picky but the one I've got my eye on amazon.co.uk/DJI…ter has got a bit more power so it can carry a decent camera and film amazing shots. That's £500 though, too much for me but they are coming down in price fast. You can also be a complete idiot about flying one of these as it flies itself, you just tell it where to go

I did a really terrible job of explaining that. The two big reasons for the extra money are its built in GPS and the way it can handle itself in a bad situation. Say your controller battery went dead all of a sudden, you've got a quadcopter 200 feet in the air. With the Phantom it will fly to you on its own and land itself. And as its GPS you could do totally amazing things like go on a mountain bike ride and have the quadcopter track you and film it or not worry too much driving around and having it lose you for a while as it'll find you in the end with GPS. I think I could build entire holidays based around one of these and have a ball, big kid that I am.

i dont know which controller comes with this , but the one i had for the same coper

I wish there was one this cheap that could take the "weight" of my gopro camera.. that would be great

we had no problem with ours.
Apparently you can control it with your mobile phone if you buy this transmitter - which seems quite cool

I think if this could snap a teenager in half, we'd know about it.

And Amazon would be out of stock for the next 3 years.

I think I could manage with just that feature alone, let it carry a gopro for 10/20 minutes £99, they'd fly off the shelves

Bought 2!

I haven't found anything remotely close to 99 yet though.. golden ticket aka not happening maybe?!

"2nd edition...new version"?? There's reviews dated almost 2 years ago!

I like it, much easier to fly! Down side the battery in helicopter don't last long 6 minutes. Then to charge it says 50 minutes....
