Wouldn't touch Norton with a barge pole!

Voted cold, try Ebay for OEM Edition (Full Version, Software Pack, No Retail Box ) a lot less than £27 . 66 and I am using Norton but not for much longer more problems than what its worth, slows machine down, well known fault.

:-D i always love waiting for the (justifiable) negative comments about norton products!

I'm surprised they havn't gone bust yet, I don't know anyone in their right mind who would have Norton, let alone BUY it...?

If you MUST have Norton then it's far cheaper here.......£15.35 exc del

Great deal! I could do with slowing my PC down....that is what this is meant to do isn't it...:whistling: Makes a 4gig processor act like a 256mb one in a flash!

One of the worst software ever made. This is colder than the current evenings we have!

Anyone who wants a antivirus, look no further than free avg (or avast). AVG also offer antispyware.

Those on virgin media can get there free security software (if eligible) which has decent parental controls.

its a virus..worse than the free ones....known to anyone in the know as a resource hogger...if you want to slow down your pc ALOT by all means install it....oh, and nortons often come near the bottom of all security products for detection, along with the even worse mcafee products (so bad that the last mcafee product i uninstalled - trashed by system!)

i have 21 years computing experience, the last 5 years as a freelance consultant - trust me dont buy it - its an example of sloppy programming

as others have stated for antivirus try AVAST!, AVG or if you must buy one Kaspersky is highly rated though i have never used it

firewalls - zone alarm

spyware - spybot, avg, windows defender (is ok)

lol, the consumer market is nothing compared to the corporate market.

I have used Symantec AV Corporate since version 8 (using 11 aka Endpoint now) and it's superb.

Problem is, that people like PC World, WHSmiths etc, only ever seem to stock rubbish like McAfee and Norton, when did you last see Kaspersky or Avira pre installed on a computer, or even on the shop shelves, I have been trying to talk my brother out of Norton for years, he has one PC on 360 and one on 2007, his argument, if it wasn't any good they wouldn't put it on their in the first place, as if it goes wrong they have to fix it. He doesn't grasp the fact that there are licencing deals and they rely on people like him for their revenue.
Check out the forums, try AVG or Avira Free, but please don't buy this it only encourages them to carry on making shocking products....although I am led to believe that 360 is their best product yet!

norton is a knightmare, slows your system to a crawl and is a knightmare to get rid off completely. isnt even gd as an anti virus, i had it pre installed on an old system, was a knighmare, got rid of it, installed decent security and it found loads of stuff nortona missed.
avoid at all costs
