Great price!
Respectable price if for real, but this does not appear to be delivered by Amazon, as the advert says it's sold and dispatched by Fuzion.

Buying it on Amazon means you would be covered in the event this is a fake advert or similar, but your money could be tied up.

Saying all of that, I think this presents good value if you are in the market for a 2 bay NAS and need a couple of drives to put into it. The + models support docker containers which is a nice improvement over the basic versions.

Third party seller with not enough credentials. Don't expect fulfillment at this price let alone guarantee of the item. Not worth the hassle imo.

I thought Hotdeals was supposed to detect all this sort of thing and not allow the listing?. It's certainly stopped some of my posts in much much less suspicious circumstance. ATM the link leads to the Miragetek IT Store with 90% positive in the last 12 months (20 ratings)!!! One available

Just had an email saying dispatched , using Dpd.
Couldnt cancel as money was taken early when ordered.
Says dispatched Dpd.

I've heard of this where they give you like a fake tracking url so amazon thinks they've shipped it, and you can't cancel due to non-payment.

You will either receive the item and get a bargain, or you won't and you'll need to get your money back.

You would be covered either way really, just could be without the cash for a short time if the latter is true.

Yeah says 2nd-5th March but highly unlikely as they don't supply a tracking number.

But Amazon have assured me any problems. Just file a A-Z report. They are also looking into the seller.

Thank you for your e-mail. These units are built to order by our authorised Synology supplier and shipped directly to our customers. As such, there is no tracking information for the unit at present although I would expect it to be with you in the next three to four working days. The courier used (usually DPD) will have the mobile number specified on your Amazon order (07xxxxxxxxx) for text alert services, please let me know if this number requires any amendment.

Further to your order of a Synology NAS system from us, I am writing to advise of a delay with your order.

These units are built to order by our supplier (a Synology approved distributor) and shipped directly to our customers when ordered. They had advised us that stock was available to allow a certain quantity to be built, and we listed goods for sale on this basis. However, it would appear that our supplier’s records were incorrect and there was insufficient stock of the Toshiba drives to allow for all units to be built due to Toshiba missing the delivery which was due to be made.

To compound this issue, there are evidently shipment delays with Toshiba parts due to the well-documented coronavirus outbreak, and our supplier is not able to state at this time how long it will be before they have stock to allow the build. Units were already on order but naturally there are both production and shipment delays in the Far East. I’m sure you may have read how such matters are being affected by the current health scare.

I therefore thought it would be best to write to advise, in case you wish to cancel the order with us at this time, or if you are willing to wait for further updates and, hopefully, an ETA on order completion as soon as we have the information that we need. If you wish to take a refund at this time then please let me know by e-mail and a request can be submitted to Amazon for the order value, Amazon will return funds to the card used to make the purchase. If you are happy to wait then you do not need to take any action at this time.

Yeah, they have marked it dispatched and delivery date is same 2-6th March. They have taken the money so I suppose they will fulfill the order. But don't like sitting in limbo thinking when the order will turn up or ever turn up.
If you don't need the money right now, then leave it. If you receive the product with the hard drives in a week or two, then it would be a great deal in my eyes.

If you can't afford to tie the cash up, then cancel it.

Sucks playing the waiting game I know, but by cancelling it now you'll never find out if you would have received it!

I am guessing because they don't want it to have an affect on there selling account.
You can leave feedback through Amazon though.
I haven't cancelled yet although I am going to email them asking for an update and a email to say they marked it as dispatched when It's not.

I'll keep waiting and see what happens.

Ended up cancelling in the end. Don't think they will have stock anytime soon and the longer I wait less chance for a refund.

That's awful. Amazon are becoming more and more dodgy from taking payment immediately, to things like you've mentioned.

I currently have a major issue for a laptop I returned which was tracked and received by them. Asked why I haven't received my refund after a few days and they're telling me it's a different laptop to what they sent (was a warehouse deal and obviously exactly as what they sent). Demanded they send me what they 'received' but amazon won't do that due to their T&C's - taking it up with small claims as it's £800 down the drain otherwise. .
I think the problem is Amazon makes a lot of money, and they don't really care about few not happy customers.
