How can I help you todayMe:Can you confirm if item Synology DS415+/24TB-RED comes with WD Hard drives as per product title?Mani:Sure, I can help you with that.Mani:Can you give me the link of the product you are querying?Me:https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00R3S6ROA/?tag=ho01f-21Mani:Thank you for the link, I am checking now.Me:hello.....Mani:Thank you for your patience. I have confirmation from my manager that the price has been displayed incorrectly.Me:Will Amazon honour my order?Mani:No the order will be cancelled and you'll get a comfirmation soon. You are welcome to re-order at the correct price.Me:That's no good. I have to convince my autistic son that he won't be getting this because Amazon messed up.Mani:I understand your concern, but I am unable to do anything.Me:Amazon's reputation is going downhill and I shall think twice before placing an order from your website. If we stop shopping on Amazon, they can't sustain jobs in India. Mani:I apologise for the inconvenience and as a goodwill gesture I have added a £10 voucher to your account.Me:Big deal, good bye.

Great, thanks for ruining it for everyone.

I'm sure order will be cancelled... Happened yo me twice already.
Yea gone for it, worth a try.
FPU woah mamma
went for it too. waiting for email cancellation
Says no stock...
Am I missing something here? This is just for the enclosure with no drives - which you can buy cheaper elsewhere. The description also states it's the 215play model too.
can anyone confirm if this was ever in stock at this price?

I ordered anyway
Sorry edit *415play not 215
Very little mention of the drives in this - great deal if they're included, but I suspect they're not. Thanks for posting, OP. Let's await developments.

RRP of £1,365.45 means it should include the disks

RRP means not much legally. Read product description tells you what you are / have bought.

thats not what im saying, what i am saying is that the RRP of this particular product is the RRP of the 4x6GB system. the enclosure's RRP is less than half that

There's no reason why it would mention WD Red drives either if it didn't come with them. Either way if it was delivered and didn't have them Amazon is easy enough to return items to.
Ordered one, thanks OP oO
Ordered, worth a try.

Cheers OP
Was this in stock when the deal was posted?
I've ordered a couple of them. I'd guess that at least a thousand have been ordered today
I've gone for it, amazon have honoured nas with drives at good prices before. Worth a go. Cheers op.
The Synology boxes are excellent. They have a range of downloadable apps available which can be very useful to a small business or developer.
I'm really confused by the Amazon title, description and Technical specs. Is it the DS415+ or the DS415play? They are two different systems. One does transcoding on the fly and the other does not. The title seems to reference the DS415+, the short description seems to reference the DS415play, and the additional technical specs seem to go back to the DS415+.
Currently out of stock, good luck guys
The NAS itself is terrible and will fail in 18 months. But it's certainly good value for 24TB worth of drives. Just make sure to use them in something else.
Good price for the Box and 24Tb of red disks for nearly nowt
Thanks op, ordered, fingers crossed it comes, about time I upgraded my NAS

what makes you say that? I've had the ds215j for about 4 years and used everyday. I now want a 4 bay though.
awesome deal! but out of stock.

He's talking pure crap. Mines never failed in 4 years either.
Can it connect to multiple Dropbox and OneDrive accounts simultaneously? Thanks.

This is a stupid comment. I have around 30 Synology NAS that I have sold to customers. None have failed yet in the last 5 years.
thanks! ordered one last night!

Do be so hard on yourself
He's right to an extent. The Atom C2xxx suffers from clock generator failure. have a quick Google of it.

Not Synology's fault, but the 415+ has a C2500 series Atom chip
All the Synology servers are extremely badly described on Amazon. It's never clear exactly what is inside from the description or the details and even the processor(s) have very different characteristics depending on where you look.
This one seems clear enough and Synology DS416 4 Bay Desktop Enclosure is £328.74 (which seems to be the same thing without disks) so maybe there is a chance for this, though of course you can't buy four 6 terrabye disks for £200
Proper NAS deals always get cancelled =(

I got a 6tb qnap last year, and an 8tb nas a few years ago, both honoured from Amazon. It does happen, but this one had been at this price such long time I'm doubtful.

For anyone that cares:

It was:
6TB QNAP TS-212 (2 x 3 TB Included)
for £156 in 2016.
NETGEAR 314 ReadyNAS (4 x 2 TB Included) for £263 in 2014

I'm sure others have been honoured too that I missed.

Well, I ordered a fully loaded QNAP and when it arrived there were no HDDs, and was told the webpage was wrong.

Yes, after looking at the specs of this I came here to mention that.
Intel seem to have done a major mistake with those chips:
https://www.theregister.co.uk/2017/02/06/cisco_intel_decline_to_link_product_warning_to_faulty_chip/
and
https://www.servethehome.com/intel-atom-c2000-series-bug-quiet/
and
https://forum.synology.com/enu/viewtopic.php?t=127839
Currently still seems to be hush-hush so no big public admissions like with the SB chipset that time although they had to inform the stock market:
https://www.intc.com/investor-relations/events-and-presentations/events-calendar/event-details/2017/Q4-2016-Intel-Corporation-Earnings-Conference/default.aspx
Seems Intel's OEMs are gagged by an NDA, so between this, the TSX bug and some of the issues with their Sandforce SSDs, it seems Intel have been getting way more secret recently. In fact, the secrecy sounds worse than what Nvidia got away with when the sold millions of parts with faulty solder.
This from the ServeTheHome articles is a classic in corporate secrecy:
"Industry-wide NDA?
If you notice from Cisco’s FAQ, Cisco is declining to provide specifics:
Q: Who supplies the impacted component?
As a matter of policy, Cisco stands behind the reputation of our products. We do not intend to publicly name the supplier."
