it says on the currys website under reserve and collect the 'The price you see online is the price you pay in store'

Thanks, just reserved one. I ordered this same one for £25 from Littlewoods and received it today. Luckily I haven't opened it, so can send it back now! Heat and rep added

I think that means when there is only one price but when it says IN-STORE price im guessing thats means the price it is if you buy in-store.
Hope im proven wrong though!

Thanks for the info. Just reserved one locally for collection tomorrow. T-mobile coverage in my area is slightly better than 3.

nice reserved.

Also at PCWorld, only lasting til end of sunday though (not sure if same rule applies to Currys)

Poor deal IMO as I only paid £5 for my 3 dongle through the recent promotion and unlocked it free of charge.

you can unlock this; seen ebay auctions selling them unlocked so it must be unlockable, 3 is ****ing ****. The worst out of all of them.

thanks

Have some heat !
Great, been looking for a real bargain for occasional netbook surfing.....and I believe T-Mobile's 'credit' needs only to be used once each 90 days to stay alive Oooh, and Quidco !

How do you top these things up?

Where can I find the 3 dongle for 5 pounds?

Thanks

Thanks for that, just ordered 1, already got 3 broadband dongle with 5GB month for £7.43 a month. Never had any probs with it at all, Use it nearly everyday at work & downloading files at home. I always get a good signal with it, where ever i am.

Thanks, Heat & Rep.

I use the T-Mob datacard but been waiting for the T-Mob dongle to reduce in price to use with my £99 Dell Mini

Can't be ars*d unlocking. I just want it to work...out the box.

Hi, if i bought this dongle, can i put my t mobile contract sim in it, with my unlimited web and walk and use it?

Log onto Dongle 4 free and just pay postage @ £4.95 reference the 3 dongle.

I dont really see a point of this. :whistling:

If I need mobile internet, I just get a £20 t-mobile voucher off ebay for a tenner, then use it in my nokia 5800 to create wireless hotspot, pls there is no signal problem.

Those p&g sims comes with 10 days free internet; afterwards, £2.5 gets you 5 days internet booster. £20 credit gets you upto 40 days internet access, in total, 10+40 =50 days internet access. Works out at 20p per day, much cheaper than this (50p).

Can anybody confirm if the credit is only used once every 90 day to stay alive than as long as i dont use it all the PAYG credit will stay on the SIM indefinately. At least this way i can use it just in emergencies as and when required. Thanks.

Edit: Just read the Currys website...looks like i would have to end up paying something in each and every month for the account to stay alive:

Choose from 3 easy pay options - £2 per day, £7 per week (equivalent to £1 per day) or £15 for 30 days(equivalent to 50p* per day)

No, you pay €15 to unlock via that site.

Just google "unlock ZTE 627 for free" and you will find plenty of links. That is for the 3dongle4free offer, dunno about the Tmobile dongle.

When I was looking around I found that only the Vodafone PayG model worked on the 90 day keepalive rule for credit, all the others expire.

You pay a little more for a gig, but it doesn't expire unless there is no chargeable activity within a 90 day period. So just fire it up and do a google search every 89 days.

Would this work with the Acer Linux netbooks?

Dont you think the deal on O2 is better..it is free with quidco

I have a virgin mobile broadand contract and lost the dongle.....would the virgin sim work in this? Virgin want £50 for a replacement!!!!

Got mine this morning from Currys in Stratford on Avon. Excellent find, will use this now on a Pay as You Go basis as needed. Heat and Rep added. Thanks to OP.

I've reserved one but does anyone know if they can be unlocked for free?

I reserved and went to collect at Alperton Store. The store could not/would not sell to me without buying a £20 top up to go with it. Spent over an hour negotiating with the store manager and with the customer services for online. Still did not get it!

got mine in berwick

Tip: Make sure the teenage muppet who serves you gives you a pay as you go box with a SIM Number sticker on the back and not the contract box that doesn't have the SIM Number sticker. Otherwise you will have to go all the way back to Curry's and wait for another teenage muppet to go find a grown up to get you the right box.
