T-Mobile are slashing the cost of mobile web-surfing on your laptop with a new £20 a month UNLIMTED surfing deal next month.
For that, on a two-year contract, you get a free USB web'n'walk modem plus the best-value web package out there. It compares well to current standard package prices from Vodafone at £29.38 a month, O2at £30 and Orange at £52.88 although they all have varying plans to suit different needs. T-mobile's stunning package promises to spark a price war . There's also a £4 maximum unlimited browising 24-hour "pay as you go" rate for those who don't need the web every day.
But with that, you'll have to pay around £100 for a modem. This follows the £1 maximum daily charge availble to pay-as-you-go mobile phone internet use available on T-mobile, where you get the sim for nothing if you buy £5 worth of credit. If ypu want a pay-as-you-go phone to surf the web on this deal, they are selling the excellent Sony Ericsson W200i Walkman for £39.99 .
Another option leaading the way in mobile tariffs is the new just sim monthly deals. For £20 you get 300 minutes, 500 texts and unlimited internet for £1 every 24 hour period

unlimited = 3gb a month (or 10gb on the £35 tariff)

not really all that unlimited

Agree with losimagic.....Not unlimited at all!!! Three do a similar 3gb mobile broadband for £5.00 less per month. Voted cold.

It's £20 a month plus £92 quidco.

3's coverage doesn't appear to me to me as good as t-mobiles. I have found t-mobiles coverage to be excellent so far.

This part I don't understand, it's currently £1 a day (it is as I use it) but the special offer is that you'll get it for £4 a day??? Not that much of a special offer I'm afraid!

The £4 a day option will be the "legal" way to use your "handset as a modem" over Bluetooth.

It's against the T's & C's to use the "£1 a day" web "n" walk plan with a laptop.

You may find certain ports are closed on the £1 a day option.

T-Mobile - free modem, 2year contract 3 gig (unlimited??)max.= £480.00 (BTW..Its only £40.00 quidco..check it out!) making a total contract price of £440.00.

3Mobile - free modem, 2year contract 3 gig max. = £360.00 (quidco was £55.00 now £16.00)... total of £344.00 .....a saving of £96.00

I travel the UK extensively and have found broadband coverage is excellent on 3. It is good on my t-mobile web and walk phone but not nearly as good.
