Yeh. Its not recommended for playing online though as you end up ruining everyone's game.

Great price! Been after this but used to only be available on a £20 monthly tariff! Heat and Rep for you!

Its actually Vodafone who are the fastest.

sorry to ask, but how does it share the connection with multiple computers? through ethernet, wifi or some usb magicking?

Its wifi.

Darn it. Want to order this through Woolworths as 8% but the system has an error when you try to do a postcode search. Same problem with Littlewoods. (Didn't realise Woolies was relaunched by the Littlewoods/Very/Additions Direct people).

I could order through Very as I have an account with them already but miffed with Littlewoods/Very/Additions Direct as no "new user" discount codes will not work as I made an order with them, when that cracking good discount code was available but they cancelled the order. Therefore the system won't let me have a new user code.

I'll try again tomorrow.

And wasn't it T-Mobile that came out top on the YouGov Mobile Broadband Survey for best network. Vodafone may offer the fastest speed in certain locations but I think T-Mobile offers the best balance of speed and coverage. And when they merge with orange in a few years the coverage will increase even more.

heat added - dont need it but im sure its going to come in very handy for alot of people

Great just ordered, Needed a new one as my 3 one won't work at my mums.

Thanks

im very tempted, does the usb dongle part come unlocked? im having trouble finding good technical specifications of this - anyone found any good links?

I think it just gives you a B spec Wifi Hotspot. No point in G or higher as you are only looking at 3.6-7.2Mb/s max.

Yes the dongle unplugs.

There must be a way to define the SSID and set up a WEP key but not used one before however here is a link to the T-Mobile guides and FAQs on it:

Totally depends where you are. Here Orange are the fastest, O2 the worst. Voda and t-mob are somewhere inbetween. Other places I've been, even with full signals Orange are useless, and Voda are great. Once you're in a town of any size it's just luck whether their towers are overloaded or not.

If you rely on it for regular use it's well worth cycling your way through a few payg cards, before settling on a contract.

How fast are Vodafone? I get 7.2mb out of my Orange mobile broadband contract...

seems a good deal - heat added

does it comes with usb dongle as on picture?

I have a web&walk package with my t-mobile contract. Can my phone (containing the sim) be linked in somehow to enable a wifi connection, or would a new tariff and a dongle be needed?

just take the sim out and stick it into the dongle

t-mobile are the best for mobile broadband and most reliable, and you can go over your data without too much worry, not like o2,vodafone and orange who charge if you go over your data limit.

Loving that people think t-mobile are the best 3g provider, classic.

anyways, heat and rep added and kudos to the peeple talking sense on the thread

i could, but then the phone cant be used!

Also, this doesnt come with a donglke does it? is it not just the base?

Ordered thanks.
Been eyeing one of these up for ages but hard to get hold of especially at this price.
Hopefully this will put a stop to the dumb "Device Disconnected" dialog box that keeps popping up with my existing dongle and the fact that since their last firmware update my laptop won't boot if the dongle is plugged in!
Hope this device is reliable but it's worth a shot!

heat from me it's a good deal i've ordered 2 i'm ordering 2 more, dont forget quidco.

I like T-Mobile because I can get 3G with full bars anywhere in my house whereas I don't get any signal for o2 and and half bars with Vodafone.

I don't want to be rude but I doubt you get that. that is the theoretical max in laboratory conditions. If when you plug in the modem Windows reports that speed then that is because that is what the modem is capable of. Frnakly I doubt anyone in the UK, even those next door a 3G site get anything above 6.5!

If you are using a Windows Mobile device then running WMWIFIRouter on the device (costs $20) will let you use the device as a Wifi Hotspot. A non network branded WM device can already share its connection by Bluetooth or USB.

I want to get this as at a relatives flat I can get a sniff of 3G at the window but lose it when I sit down so if I set this up at the window I can then connect to it by wifi and sit comfortably at the desk.

sure that is a solution, but what happens if you dont want computer A (connected to the dongle) powered on solely so that you can browse the internet from computer B?
