Been looking for a cheap payg Android phone for my oh. Came across the T-Mobile Pulse at £149.99 plus required £10 top up.

Don't forget Quidco for an extra £5 back
Total: £154.99

Just top up £10 a month and it includes unlimited* internet for the following month.

Appreciate the phone isn't anywhere near as good as the HTC Desire. This deal is aimed at people who don't use their phones enough to go on to contract.

while its a brilliant phone i think the cold deals are because this was around 100 quid a few months ago. Not sure if that deal is totally gone. Anyone voting cold should post a cheaper price i guess?

They stopped selling it for a couple months.

The Pulse Mini is coming out in April too, for about £100

The pulse is due to get Android 2.1 sometime very soon, there are many videos of the MWC Huawei stand,

The Pulse Mini is coming out for £99, however it has a resistive screen and no wifi :?

I paid £139.99 about 1 month ago for this in my local store

any idea when android 2.1 will be available in UK?

Just wondered if anyone knew where I could get or has had theirs unlocked?

Had a trawl round on the interweb and couldn't find a way to unlock it on there, other than paying someone else to do it?

Seem to think these are unlockable via code, just wondered if that was the case?

Thanks in advance for any help

Probably gonna have to get it done from T-mobile really, £15. Other sites are charging as much as £25

I take what the OP wrote about this being useful for "people who don't use their phones enough to go onto contract", but T-Mobile's contracts are very good.

Assuming you're topping up by at least £10 per month to get the "Free Internet" (and with an Android phone, that's a wise move, otherwise there isn't much point in having one above a regular "dumbphone"), then this deal will cost at least (24*£10)+£159.99=£399.99 over 24 months. For £126 down and £10 per month, you can get a G2 on contract with 3GB data, 100 minutes and unlimited texts over the same 24 months and save £33.
