T-mobile retentions £11/month for full monty

Found 27th Feb 2014
I know everyone hates t-mobile here but for those who don't and have a contract coming to an end they just offered me the full monty sim for £11/month thats 2000mins unlimited texts and unlimited data on a 12 months contract. Operator said that they have some deals on until the end of Feb but can't guarantee it will be available after tomorrow. If anyone can suggest a better contract for between £7 and £11 please comment it as I have until the end of the day to accept this offer.

I'm on Tmobile never had any problems. My contract ended yesterday as well :-D still torn apart between buying a phone and getting a sim only contract or getting the full package... phones have changed somewhat since 24 months ago lol.

I'm keeping my 2 year old phone. Android is android, apps are apps doesn't seem worth changing for something that is bigger but thinner. Plus it seems much cheaper to buy your handset outright separately these days, the guy on the phone also said I can upgrade anytime if I decide I want a phone.

i prefer tmobile. just up graded to the xperia z1. contract slightly more.expensive than before but i use my mobile rather than my landline and i like the wee boosters you can add on.too

I am up for renewal in 2 weeks just rang them and they've offered me £15 and not £11 strange

Yeah and I was only paying £7.50 before so I am not a premium customer although I have been with them for many years. Try again and see who you get, did you tell them a friend had been offered it?

I've got the Motorola Luxe though- has sooo many faults it's unreal- and yep, I'm one of those people who just get on with it rather than faff around with ringing up, arranging a courier, being without phone etc... think it is just a dodgy model as I checked how much I'd get if I were to recycle it- and got offered £0 lol...

I also never had any problems with the signal and browsing speed, now the renewal page screans at me that I should be getting 4gee or something, naking me actually think that I REALLY need it and I will be missing out without it haha, maybe even ending up with an antique unusable phone in a few months' time?

Very confused.

If you need any help let me know

Good deal, but they are the worst phone company that I have ever dealt with, so will be staying with three, but ok if you are happy with them.

Thanks will give them a call as I'm up for renewal..

I recently got this tariff and now regret that. After watching 1 hour video got message your 80% data limit has reached. Got unlimited data on tariff still fair policy working out less than 2 gb. If you data hungry then dont go for it

That's strange arora, they used to market this tariff as having no fair use policy on data, as long as there was no tethering. Maybe they've changed the terms and conditions since then.

Might be worth double checking with them first if anyone is interested in going ahead with this.

This isn't available to everyone, I've had two conversations with retentions in the last couple of days, one when I cancelled and one when they called me trying to get me to stay. Best they were able to offer was £15, looks like you were lucky

I got this deal about six months ago.

It went to the point of me having the PAC code for a week before they called me. Pretty much told them I want unlimited data for about £10 a month, rest is gravy and offered me this.

I'm a lite user though (less than 100 minutes and 50 texts and about 1.5GB of data a month), been with them for years and never missed a payment. I'm probably quite cost effective for them so it may depend.

Help!

Narrowed it down to sony xperia sp, sony xperia m, samsung galaxy ace 3 and nokia lumia 520. Still unsure whether I "need" 4G.

Agree with arora though, I have "unlimited" internet and when I was about to reach 3G they sent me text to let me know that once I exceed it, I will only be allowed browsing...

i was told flat out by EE (tmobile) 2mths ago that they cannot even match the price of my previous full monty (£16/mth) deal, so left and found a better deal. they made no attempts to keep me..

I'd look carefully at your bills, they agreed one thing and signed me up for something completely different, has taken 9 months to get just one bill which was correct, won't be staying...

Just renewed with Tmobile. Changed my mind and want to get the ovivo deal, does anyone know if there is a cooling off period when changing deals?

Guy told me they were the only company offering truly unlimited data...

Thinking I will go with vodafone unltd mins, texts and 3GB 4G data (tetherable) only £9.75/month via redemption with e2save. Factor in topcashback and santander 123 cashback and it will only cost me £6.73/month

If you find the internet on your phone fast enough for your current needs then you do not need 4G, if you would prefer to stream more movies or watch tv on your phone then perhaps 4G is something that you might want to consider. Of the phones you have mentioned I would suggest that the Xperia SP is the best of them, you will find it very fast in comparison to your current handset, as your current handset is already running on Android then I reccomend you stick to something you are familiar with rather than moving to the Windows Phone of the Nokia Lumia 520. Hope this is of some help to you but if you want to know anything else just let me know

They having a price increase sometime around March.

Answered my own question, just phoned and got the PAC code so all good.

Just rang up and got mine down to £15pm however I signed up around 1.5months ago via ChitterChatter and also get £4 discount from them via cash back so got this for £11 in a round about way lol

What is the retentions number as I am about to renew or leave?

Thanks :-)

The renewal page gives me a few phone choices to select and then "give them a ring or chat online about pricing" has anyone haggled online with them before and how successfully ? (I'm terribly shy on the phone lol)

So... Spoke to the lady on the chat, told hr about the Three offer for £20 with free handset, 300 mins, 5000 texts and unlimited data, and she offered me a worse deal at a higher price lol. Rang the disconnections, another lady said she will have a look if they could match the deal... nope, she couldn't, again offered me less for more. gave them my notice.

Are they bluffing or really unable to match the Three's offer? Hmm.

If they are unable to match the offer then move to Three You might find that someone calls you back but these things really depend on your usage, if you tend to stay in your allowances all the time then I don't think they offer much Move to Three! They are fine as long as there is good coverage in your area, check here - three.co.uk/Sup…age

I'm hoping someone calls me back really, been with them for 7 years and was almost expecting a shiny new phone to arrive on my doorstep lol. I'm apparently a light user ;-) even though I insist on ghaving unlimited data "just in case" it turns out I only use 1GB on average. It does make me wonder though why can't they match Three normal, official deal, I'm sure they get people asking to match someone else's retention deal etc etc.

Thanks anyway

Checked my tmobile and I have a £10 12 month discount and also a £2.50 for life discount that was put on last year and they haven't removed, so my bill should come in at £8.50. Glad I said yes now.

full Monty data speed is capped at 3.8mb/s.

I believe they still deny it though.

I just got 2000 mins unlimited data and texts for £15 for 12 months should have haggled for less I'm pretty Much a lite user as well do it's probably why they offer it to some customers and not others

First full months bill has me at £0/month (£17.50 but £17.50 discount) looks like I have extra discounts on the computer system. V.happy
