Looked like a bargain to me, reduced from £99.99, i know some people are tablet snobs but this ones specs seem perfectly capable to me. Loads in stock at Sainsbury's Leeds (moortown) well worth picking up at this price, i've included the specs below from the @tab website and i believe these ones are the 16gb version

+Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS | Adobe Flash 11 Support | Search and Download 200,000+ Apps | Recommended Apps Preloaded
+Dual Core 1.6GHz CPU | 1GB DDR3 RAM
+8GB or 16GB Flash NAND - Internal Memory | Memory +Expansion up to 32GB via Micro SD Card slot
+7" - 800 x 480 pixels | LCD Display | Capacitive Touchscreen - Finger or Stylus
+Capacitive 5 point multi-touch | Gyro Sensor - Auto screen rotation through 360° | Works in Landscape or Portrait | +Virtual QWERTY keyboard
+Mic & 3.5mm Headphone Jack | Stero Output
+0.3MP Front & Back Cameras
+Wi-Fi - IEEE 802.11b/g/n | Bluetooth 2.1
+Lithium polymer re-chargeable Battery | Upto 4 Hour Battery Life | Standby | 3000mAh Battery
+Mini HDMI | USB 2.0, Mini-USB Port | Micro SD Card Slot
+Size - 192 x 124 x 11mm | Weight - 300g

i'm sure some people will vote this down just because its not a branded tablet or top of the range but it's price puts it in range of far far less capable tablets

also please don't confuse this for the 8gb version on the website which is £69.99, thanks

Seems alright except for the low res screen which is a shame. Not voting either way

For this price very good for kids, yet to find a seven year who'ed moan about it. Hot from me.

The spec is pretty much the same as the £50 7" tablets you can get on Amazon and other stores.

The spec difference between the £35 and the £50 ranges you find tends to be 4Gb space vs usually 8Gb space, 1.2GHz vs often 1.7GHz, Ice Cream Sandwich vs Jelly Bean, and the extra Mini HDMI.

These tablets are good for email and mini games, but the resolution is too low to easy browse the Internet.

Nb. The Apex Launcher greatly improves the home screen under a 800x480 resolution.

if this was posted as a groupon deal or anything else it would be cold

because its sainsburys it gets hot

makes me laugh

Guess they don't play Minecraft PE then.

thought every kid had Minecraft on his tablet

Couldn't recommend this one unless you're using it at a power source all the time and then you've only got the news on or something. Really not worth cheaping out to this extent. It's false economy. The 2012 Nexus 7 is about as much as I'd cheap out on a tablet for myself. A used one would be fine for kids.

whats the brand name of this tablet?

Love my Asus tablet that I found out about through this site but certainly voting for this - but the deal needs clarification I think -

"8GB or 16GB Flash NAND - Internal Memory | Memory +Expansion up to 32GB via Micro SD Card slot"

Well - it can't be BOTH an 8gb and a 16gb for the same price - so which is it?

Beginning of title, @tab. See their website here. I don't think we know any further than that in terms of the actual manufacturer.

How is this hot?! God awful spec no better than the £25 tat from dx. To put in to perspective

Expired, but thats the level of tablet id expect for £50

If you're happy paying £50 then personally I'd recommend going for one of the £62 refurbished Nook HD models on Argos' ebay outlet.

The £35 cheapy 7" tablets are fun for the price, but if you're willing to spend a bit more you might as well get quality

its the battery life that is the one to watch for me, need 8 hours approx to be considered. Good find though Op!!

my 8yr old son does he has it on his tablet, phone, laptop and the xbox it drives me crazy!!

Why is a person a snob because they're not interested in poorly specified products? Name calling is so childish.
BTW screen resolution is terrible.

race to the bottom trash, at least spend a tenner more on a branded acer b1 from argos outlet.

Just to let you know this brand along with others owned by the parent company KMS components went into liquidation in January this year. Don't expect much support if any!

Cold from me. You can get a better and faster tablet on eBay for this amount of money. (2GB Ram and faster processor too).

I have the larger model of this tablet and it is very good.10.1"
Plays videos and music no problem, surfs great too.
Has more then ample power and the battery lasts at least 5 hours, the wireless and blue tooth are first rate.
Fantastic to take on holidays with a good wireless speaker.
I am a geek, I know my stuff.

none in exeter.

Well I just saw it as I walked past. There was one of display and no 'sold out' sticker. I have a photo but can't post from the app.
