For over 140 years, Original TABASCO® brand Pepper Sauce has stood as the ultimate test of courage. And once you're hooked, food without it just isn't the same. So go ahead; splash it on whatever you like. Or better yet, pour it on whatever you don't. Great on everything from eggs to seafood to pizza, it's the original, the gold standard, the mother of all hot sauces. And nothing else even comes close.

Since 1868, Original TABASCO® Sauce has been made with just three natural ingredients: fully aged red peppers, Avery Island salt and high quality distilled vinegar. This simple recipe - when brought together and aged with the greatest care and attention - produces the incredibly pungent, fiery pepper sauce that's beloved the world over.

for those of you that can't get to Tescos then Sainsburrys had this for £1 in the week too. Also had Worcestershire Sauce for £1 - although that is only £1.08 usually!!!!

This stuffs tasty, but not hot whatsoever, got a bottle of chilly ( round my friends house) in the kitchen with some warning on, came in wooden box, I have never had anything like it before, Crazy HOT!!! LOL

yum yum, its hot!!!

If I have a bottle in cupboard I get through Tabasco at a ridiculous pace, add it to almost every meal
Tabasco and mixed herbs makes beans on toast far more exciting...

Is it called Dave's Insanity Sauce? That is hot, hot, hot! Only tiny droplets required unless you are a complete masochist :giggle:

I like spicy hot stuff, might give this a try.

When I was in Malaysia, I bought some home-made hot sauce bottled in a re-used maggi chilli bottle. It's a strange looking brown colour and a tiny bit of it causes your throat to close up...lethal but great with fried noodles and only 80p.

I think Encona hot caribbean sauce is nicer tasting than Tabasco and roughly the same price.

I like Encona but prefer Tabasco. Scrambled eggs on toast with a dash or two of Tabasco is the perfect breakfast in this weather.

Hot, the sauce that is.:whistling:

Just come back from more local, smaller Tesco Express - and its a quid there too!

Does this stuff work on icy paths...........

This is only 2500-5000 scoville units - not hot at all:p

Tabasco's rarely on sale throughout the year, so this is a pretty hot deal! I have this sauce almost daily as I like spicy food, so you can imagine how many bottles I go through in a year... hence my knowledge of Tabasco prices in supermarkets.

Good price I guess for a very weak sauce for modern times

love encona on chesse on toast...mmmn

Got a bottle of "ten minute burn" for Christmas, made with puree'd Naga's and 7.4 schoville heat unit extract. Does what it says on the tin!

Although I want a bottle of the extract which has 15 million SHU, its pure Capsaicin, only soluble in alcohol ;-)

Got some Dave's Insanity Sauce a few days back thinking it'd be a bit like Tabasco ( I love Tabasco ). There really is no way do describe the difference. Tabasco is hot ( not hot at all if you're a heat idiot - see above posts ) but I can eat it by the spoonfull I can eat the Insanity stuff by the toothpick tip full. It really is insane. Try it :).

7.4 schoville heat unit

:?The cayenne pepper that comes in capsule form is usually 40,000 scoville heat units:p, also available is the extra strong at 100,000 SHU:w00t: It really warms you up:) - especially good with the weather we are having at the moment:-D

This is Hot (Deal and the sauce)

is this what john cusac drinks in the spoof film WAR ???

daves insanity sauce nearly cost me my marriage;-)

you know when you make cheese on toast and ask your partner if they want some and they always say no,but when you make it they want some of yours, well i coated the bread in insanity sauce first then giggled as she helped herself ,took 2 days before she even spoke to me again:-D

sorry that should have read 7.4 million SHU not 7.4 SHU!!

And I grow my own Dorset Nagas, much better to grow your own than the ones I found in Tescos
