These were over £280 before Christmas. A great quality aluminium table with 4 bats and 12 balls. Easy to assemble - I bought one a few weeks ago when they were £180 and I still don't regret it even though they've been reduced by another £30. The price drops would suggest that they're clearing them out so they might get cheaper or else they might just disappear.

I know Costco isn't for everyone but this one purchase has covered my year's membership.

Update: I should mention that it doesn't come with a cover. The same table is listed at cktoys.com and mentions a cover - but it's also £349. I guess you could get quite a nice cover for £200...

Hi. Which CostCo did you see this in and when? Thanks.

Hi,

It was in Coventry at about 12:30 today. They had 5 or 6 left.

Mark.

Thanks, Mark.

great deal - wish I had the space.

You could be a cleaner in a Santander branch and get membership. So your argument is pretty void.

Here here. Also if your employer is not listed you can try emailing them and I have heard they consider these on an individual basis. Also if you know a member you can get your own card on their membership regardless who you work for.

Mark - how massive was the box? Was it as big as the table folded up or smaller as have to assemble? Just wondering if I will fit it into a people carrier. Thanks.

I bought the last one from the Watford store last Sunday @ £179 inc VAT. Guess they have been reduced again. I was looking at them before xmas so I was very happy to get it at this price.
This is a fantastic table, good solid build that looks as though it will last for many years. Assembly took approximately 1 Hour, but does need 2 people.

The box is about 5 foot x 5 foot square, so will need a van to transport. It is also very heavy and requires 2 people to carry.

As Gavster2002 said, the package is the size of half the table (5' x 4' 6") and probably 6" deep. It's cellophane wrapped with thick plastic strips/corners to protect the edges of the table. No outer box so it's as small a package as you can realistically get a full sized table tennis table.

I transported mine on the roof bars of a Peugeot 406 estate without problems.

Regards,
Mark.

Argos had one for £99 just before xmas. Is this one any better than Argos'?

I believe so. I looked into buying the Argos one when it was listed here but the reviews amounted to "it's good for the price but the net falls off" or something like that. This table is solid. It's aluminium. It's made in Germany. And the net doesn't fall off. :-)

Mark.

So effectively, if you know a cleaner in a Santander branch with a CostCo membership, you'd be able to join through them! X)

A rather odd view. I am sure they would go out of their way if you went in there, have you tried?

awww diddums

do you vote all student only deals cold for those that aren't students?

or MAC deals cold for people who only have a PC?

Well the bad news is that I had to hire a van and drive 40m to Chingford to get one of these, as my nearest two Costcos had sold out.

Good news is they have obviously reduced the price again to £99 + VAT so that helped cover the £40 odd for the van and fuel.

Thanks again, Mark. Have wanted one of these for ages but didn't want to pay the £350-400 they usually cost.

What a stupid comment, the answer is simple......go to your employer, request a utility bill from the finance department just to use as proof of business, go to Costco and set up account.....SIMPLES

hmm not sure how an aluminium table compares to a wooden one
I've only ever used wooden tables at my club

It's never going to be the same, but then, neither is playing outside compared to club conditions.

Costco Chadderton reduced these to £99.97+VAT and then sold them all before I could grab one ... arrgh oO
None left anywhere in Manchester area only one in L'pool at £149 - too far for me

There were about 10 left in Chingford at lunchtime.

Sounds like dedication justly rewarded. Result. I hope you enjoy yours as much as we're enjoying ours.

Cheers,
Mark.

Oppsss, missed the posts that quoted Chingford prices. Wife bought at 3pm, 6 left. Can't wait for spring. !

Just bought this table at Costco chingford for £99.97 + Vat. Really good buy - there was only one left

Bought from Chingford , and none left today at 7pm £99 + vat - what a bargain!

These need a van cos no way would fit in a motor, and wouldn't chance on a roof rack
